NEW ORLEANS — As oil edged toward the Louisiana coast and fears continued to grow that the leak from a seabed oil well could spiral out of control, officials in the Obama administration publicly chastised BP America for its handling of the spreading oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico, where Obama is expected to travel this weekend.
Yet a review of the response suggests it may be too simplistic to place all the blame for the unfolding environmental catastrophe on the oil company. The federal government also had opportunities to move more quickly, but did not do so while it waited for a resolution to the spreading spill from BP.
Looks like the New York Times has turned on the Obamacrats. The NYT didn't have to say anything inconvenient about the Obamacrats, but here they go, annoying the Obamacrats. Guess now Obama will have to call the NYT all the nasty stuff he called FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, etc., etc...
Obama dithered. Ducks died! Does Obama hate ducks?
The Department of Homeland Security waited until Thursday to declare that the incident was “a spill of national significance,” and then set up a second command center in Mobile, Ala. The actions came only after the estimate of the size of the spill was increased fivefold to 5,000 barrels a day.
The DHS? The paranoid, delusional, Napolitano DHS? For an oil spill? What's that got to do with national security? Do oil spills go around flying loaded jetliners into buildings? Do oil spills have nuclear weapons and ICBMs to deliver them? Why the DHS? Why not the EPA or FEMA or something more logically appropriate? Imbeciles!
That's not proactive. It's sluggishly, bureaucratically reactive, wait-and-see-don't-waste-resources-we-can-use-against-the-Tea-Parties-instead. Sheesh!
It's a fine mess, and the Obamacracy is at a loss re what to do. Idiots. Incompetents. Know-nothings. Do-nothings.
They're more worried about trying to silence dissent than about doing their job.
Oh, well... guess what? Obama's HUMAN after all! He is NOT a god! Get it through yer thick heads, Big Media and brain-dormant Progs! He's just a MAN! He CAN'T do everything! He is NOT a miracle worker, NOT omniscient, NOT omnipotent!
