Congratulations, American swing voters, on electing this guy to the White House!
Obama's 1995 book won the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album and drew praise from Time magazine, which called it "the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician."
Turns out it was actually written by an American terrorist.
Andersen, in "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of a Marriage," writes that Obama was faced with a deadline with the Time Books division of Random House to submit his manuscript after already having canceled a contract with Simon & Schuster. Confronted with the threat of a second failure, his wife, Michelle, suggested he seek the help of "his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers."
Obama had taped interviews with relatives to flesh out his family history, and those "oral histories, along with a partial manuscript and a truckload of notes, were given to Ayers," writes Andersen.
The author quotes a neighbor in the Hyde Park area of Chicago where Obama and Ayers lived, who says of the two, "Everyone knew they were friends and that they worked on various projects together."(...)
"To admit that Obama needed a collaborator would have undercut his campaign for president," Cashill says, "and to reveal the name of that collaborator would have ended it."
It sure would've, for a Republican, wouldn't it? The Old, Approved Media would've crucified a Republican. Of course, however, they won't crucify Obama the Democrat. Because he's... and because..., right?
The Washington Times recently caught up with the still-a-radical-extremist "former" terrorist (note his earring... isn't he quite the pretty boy, eh?) and solicited comment on his having helped Obama write "Dreams"):
Billy Ayers... You lie!
And Obama lied, too, about Billy. Joseph Farah calls him out.
"He's just a guy who lives in the neighborhood."
That was the lie Barack Obama told about his relationship with unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers during the presidential campaign.
Apparently most people believed it.
Few of my colleagues in the news media deemed the connection between a leading presidential candidate and a seething-with-rage, violent, hard-core, communist revolutionary of any consequence.
Obama won the election. His opponent, John McCain, seemed nervous about even mentioning Bill Ayers and his significant terrorist other, Bernardine Dohrn, an admirer of Charles Manson's grisly fork murders.
I hate to say it, but I told you so.
How is it that one can be a terrorist, and then the establishment elites end up rewarding one with exalted jobs, like professorships, etc.?
Too bad Billy wasn't a "community organizer" instead of just a crazy guy who blew up stuff- he could've been President instead of a lowly "professor"! Then he might've caught the eye of George Soros. Oh, wait... wrong color; Soros was looking for someone who'd be, well, harder (via playing of the race card, etc) to go after when terrible stuff is found out about him...
Why is it that these neo-communist extremists keep on getting away with being extreme?
Real Americans will be having a revolution of their own to take America back from the clutches of folks like Obama and Ayers. The ACORN sting operation was just the beginning, the morning coffee...
