Bloc Was Partner In Coalition: Ignatieff

Story here.

ht: Orville H.

MONTREAL — If the proposed coalition of opposition parties had come to power last year it would have deeply and enduringly divided Canadians, says Michael Ignatieff.

Well, then why did Ignatieff sign on to the coalition agreement if he knew this?

“I'm in politics to unify people, not to divide them,” Mr. Ignatieff said.

Again, then why did he not say "no" to the coalition? Why did he stay in the Liberal Party and actually acquiesce to that which he KNEW Canadians were furiously opposed to?

Hard to take this guy seriously or believe anything he says.

And here's where he admits that the Bloc was a PARTNER in the coup conspiracy and in the agreement to share power if the coup succeeded:

“I felt it was very difficult to guarantee the necessary political stability during a time of crisis with three partners in a formal coalition,” he said.

“That was my first doubt. I couldn't guarantee the long-term stability of the coalition under the circumstances.”

If he had such a doubt, amongst others, then why did he sign his name to the agreement document?

One simply can't believe this guy.

He'll say whatever's necessary at any given time. Whatever. No need to be consistent. There is only one true value for him: Becoming Prime Minister, achieving power. That's it. That's all.

Typical Liberal.
