Why does Obama have lawyers working furiously to keep his past a tightly-guarded secret?
It's quite heavy-handed, the guarding of these secrets.
Obama has made some claims about his past, but these claims remain unconfirmed, such as his claim to have been part of the "Black Student Organization" and active in anti-apartheid activities, but none of the 400 classmates who were there back then has any recollection of Obama.
His academic records are apparently a state secret as well.
"The Obama campaign has refused to release his college transcript, despite an academic career that led him to Harvard Law School and, later, to a lecturing position at the University of Chicago," the Sun reported in September 2008. "The shroud surrounding his experience at Columbia contrasts with that of other major party nominees since 2000, all whom have eventually released information about their college performance or seen it leaked to the public."

According to the New York Sun, a program from Columbia's 1983 commencement ceremony lists Obama as a graduate. University spokesman Brian Connolly confirmed that Obama graduated with a major in political science but without honors. Nonetheless, he was later admitted to Harvard Law School.
Obama claims to have written a thesis paper on nuclear disarmament, but no evidence of this paper has been found, nor will Obama produce this paper to prove he's not making it up.
And the professor who says he remembers the paper says he likely threw out the copy he had. The same guy gave over a thousand dollars to Obama's presidential campaign, however.
How did Obama get into Harvard with unsatisfactory grades?

Interestingly, there has been a case of "unauthorized access" by State Department agents into passport records. Obama's, as well as other politicians', files were examined.
And a key witness in this case was found murdered.
Lt. Quarles Harris Jr., 24, who had been cooperating with a federal investigators, was found late Thursday night slumped dead inside a car, in front of the Judah House Praise Baptist Church in Northeast, said Cmdr. Michael Anzallo, head of the department's Criminal Investigations Division.
Cmdr. Anzallo said a police officer was patrolling the neighborhood when gunshots were heard, then Lt. Harris was found dead inside the vehicle, which investigators would describe only as a blue car.

The Washington Times reported April 5 that contractors for the State Department had improperly accessed passport information for presidential candidates Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain, which resulted in a series of firings that reached into the agency's top ranks.
Medical Records Also Kept Secret
George W. Bush, John Kerry, John McCain and Al Gore all allowed the media to view their medical records.
Obama's medical records, however, are, like much of his history, being kept secret.
There are other records mentioned by the WND report which have been kept secret, including, of course, Obama's actual, proper birth certificate (forget about the worthless "certification of live birth" his campaign wrongly claimed was his "birth certificate", for such a "certification" was routinely issued for births which took place outside the United States).
Who is Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro? Really?
How did he manage to become President despite being a perfect nobody who, for most intents and purposes, pretty much materialized out of thin air?
