Letterman Apologizes To Palin For Stupid Comments

Good for David Letterman, recognizing the folly of being a jackass just because he doesn't share Sarah Palin's political views.

"So I would like to apologize, especially to the two daughters involved, Bristol and Willow, and also to the governor and her family and everybody else who was outraged by the joke. I'm sorry about it and I'll try to do better in the future."

Last week, the CBS funnyman joked Monday about Palin's recent New York visit that "during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez."

Palin was furious. On several occassions last week, she lambasted Letterman for his "sexually perverted comments"

Alaska's First Dude, Todd Palin, said "any 'jokes' about raping my 14-year-old are despicable."

Now how about apologies from the other hard-left-wing Hollywood celebrities (like, for example, Sandra Bernhard, for one of the more extreme examples) who uttered hateful, inappropriate words about Mrs. Palin and her family during the Presidential election campaign? And from Old Media personalities who joined in on the unfounded, mean-spirited, infantile attacks, all with intent to falsely damage Mrs. Palin's image as perceived by voters?
