The Liberals are backing off the "in and out" scheme dreamed up to funnel donations from Michael Ignatieff's leadership campaign to the party's dusty coffers.
In a letter dated today, the party attempts to "set the record straight" about the scheme, which was outlined in an earlier email from incoming president Alf Apps, but which the party now says is "unacceptable".
