Ex-Gays Win Equal Rights In Court

http://www.gjne.com/3nds/ex%20gay%20ad%20amy.jpg

Above: An ad by PFOX, an ex-gay organization, telling people it's ok to become straight if they want. What's wrong with that? Doesn't everyone have a right to choose?

Story here.

Really. No kidding. This is not a joke, not a prank, not a hoax. It's for real.

The latest "sexual orientation" to be granted equal status is that of former homosexuals.

Let's welcome current and future ex-gays to the club. Welcome, fellow heterosexuals! You'll love your new lifestyle! Cheers! Drinks all around!

From now on, those hateful, exhomophobic gay folks who go around bashing ex-gays will be subject to criminal prosecution under Obama's hate-crimes regime. Betcha they didn't see this coming, eh!

PFOX filed a discrimination complaint against the National Education Association (NEA) for refusing to provide public accommodations to ex-homosexuals, but the D.C. Office of Human Rights (OHR) sided with the NEA, saying that sexual orientation protection did not apply to former homosexuals.

"By failing to protect former homosexuals, the sexual orientation laws gave more rights to homosexuals than heterosexuals who were once gay," Griggs said in a statement. "So PFOX asked the Court to reverse OHR's decision, which it did. The Court held that ex-gays are a protected class under 'sexual orientation.'"

"All sexual orientation laws and programs nationwide should now provide true diversity and equality by including former homosexuals," said Greg Quinlan, a director of PFOX. "I have experienced more personal assaults as a former homosexual than I ever did as a gay man."

There are already gay activists in some schools telling children about gayness and so on. But to have only one "orientation" represented is unfair. That has changed. Now the ex-gay activists will get to work in the schools to tell children that, yes, you can become an ex-homosexual, too, and that it's perfectly ok to defect from gay to straight, etc., etc... And, of course, that it's not ok for anyone, including gays, to hate, discriminate against or commit violence against ex-gays, either.

“Our caucus will work with NEA to develop policies that recognize the needs of ex-gays in our education system. We believe education is the best way to overcome society’s phobia of former homosexuals. The caucus will also advocate alternatives to homosexuality in school curriculum to ensure diversity,” Jeralee Smith, a former lesbian, said in a statement on the caucus’ Web site.

It's time for currently-intolerant gays to be required by society to overcome their infantile, mean-spirited, unacceptable fear and loathing of ex-gays. Sensitivity training is obviously in order.

Isn't it wonderful? Diversity! Equality! This calls for an ex-gay parade!

However, expect the militant homosexuals to attempt to get the courts to take the ex-gays' rights away... Just watch 'em try, and show their true bigoted colors!

You see, it's still almost as dangerous to leave homosexuality as it is to leave Islam. Didn't y'all know that?

Now things will change. Society's attitudes will have to change. People who are gay will be assured that it's ok to choose to be straight, and that there's nothing wrong with that. Besides, who does it harm? If a gay chooses to go straight, who does it hurt? No one. So gays who claim that there's something wrong with people going from gay to straight are just, well, they need to be told what's what, and accept it, because this is the way society is, and they must "get with the program".

Could The UN Get Any Nuttier?

http://unrepentantoldhippie.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/unbranded-bullshit-stamp.jpg
This is one of the craziest ideas to come out of the already-crazy United Nations.

Do I really need to explain why?

The Inconveniently Strong Loonie

So the Bank of Canada warns that the strong Canadian dollar may "derail" the recovery.

Well, it could.

Unless, of course, Canada adapts to having a stronger dollar. Printing more money is too easy, and not the best way to go, ultimately.

Like, hey, let's become more productive as a nation. More efficient. Cut fat. Cut business taxes. Etc., etc... And curb the excessive power of the unfair, fat-cat unions, who, thinking of themselves first, make production relatively more costly and less productive vis-a-vis much of the rest of the world.

Make business the focus. Facilitate business. And fuggeddabout the nonsense about carbon emissions, global warming and catastrophic climate change already; that's been discredited as a big hoax!

Time to get back to work... And prosper again!

Big Media Clueless Re Reason For Their Problems

Can you believe these guys?

So clueless. So in denial. It's simply bizarre how clueless folks can be, isn't it?

“we don’t have a sense empirically of the nature of the problem,”

No kidding, eh!

Any ideas on the nature of the problem of the Big Media, folks?

More Ado About Iggy's Woes

Michael IgnatieffPhotobucketPhotobucket

Commentary here.

ht: Bourque Newswatch

But the recession was short-lived and Iggy showed up with an empty bucket. His advisers kept him in low gear. Opposition leaders should only oppose, they told him. That might work for some, but not in Ignatieff’s case. He was a world-renowned intellectual. He was expected to have new and captivating ideas for a public that was fed up with old-style politics.

As for opposing, the Liberals haven’t done a good job of that either. They don’t know how to keep the government on the defensive. The leader is a talented writer but there’s been no show of rapier wit or memorable phrases cutting the prime minister to the quick.

There’s been little to separate him in the public mind from what Harper stands for. The notion that the Liberals could somehow capture the public imagination with an issue like employment insurance reform was cockeyed.

It's not enough to simply be "that other guy". But that's what the Liberal strategy seems to have been.

Iggy's terrified to take a position on anything. What a pussy. Perhaps Iggy's not really an intellectual after all. Perhaps he's a poseur, like Obama.

AP's Reporting Woefully Incomplete

Via Canoe News, we have this AP article.

The AP, increasingly obliged to scratch George Soros's ass (some of Soros's organizations provide "news" to the AP for free), is obviously withholding important information from us, refusing to dig deeper and find out more.

Why didn't the AP find out this, which was discovered by NewsMax?

And how come the AP didn't dig deeper to expose the socialist, racist Obama Czarist appointee who founded the socialist, racist organization that's attacking Glenn Beck? Why does it take World Net Daily to do this job?

See how useless the AP is? They're pretty much a propaganda organization for the Far Left.

Sites like NewsMax and World Net Daily are doing the job the Big Media aren't.

In the future, when you see a report that's courtesy of the AP/American Press, remember to take it with a grain of salt and realize that they're probably withholding critically important facts.

Another Public Defection From Chinese Communist Party

People’s Daily Journalist Publicly Quits Communist Party

“I have been working for People’s Daily for many years. Even I could not find any improvement in human rights in China. They did not keep their promises, and the human rights condition is getting worse.”

Qiu stated that he faced a series of retaliations after returning to Beijing. His boss told him that the Daily was going to revoke his journalist license and fire him. His phone was wiretapped and his apartment was searched by authorities. He was not free to move around and was charged with the crime of collaborating with the enemy.
In addition, he was forced to sign his name on a piece of blank paper, to which anyone can add any statements later and use it as an official declaration when faced with questions from the international community.

Qiu revealed the CCP’s extensive penetration in overseas countries, “The CCP sent out culture spies to penetrate overseas Chinese media and websites, attacking and framing dissidents, including media workers, like us in China, who promote democracy movements.”

Qiu said that someone from higher-up told him that the political persecution against him happened because he had done some investigations on the persecution of Falun Gong and helped some Falun Gong practitioners. “He said, ‘I had conducted some negative investigations that were related to land embezzlement, Falun Gong, and local party officials’ corruption.’ I was also told that these problems were not important. However, my investigation of Falun Gong was not a positive thing for me."

Qiu said that he later realized, “It’s absolutely not just because I joined the Hong Kong July 1 march. It’s absolutely not just because I attended those meetings in Hong Kong or because I met with some dissidents. It’s because I dared to help Falun Gong practitioners. That’s why this is happening today. They are trying to settle new and old scores with me.”

Kind of like quitting the Nazi Party, isn't it?

Nigeria Halts Islamization, Breaks Up Taliban Sect

They won't submit, and they show the world what to do to stop Islamization.

The police moved on the Darul Islam community on the edge of Mokwa town earlier this month, detaining hundreds of members after reports the group was forcibly holding women to be wives.

Niger State officials said they feared the community could have evolved into a violent group like the radical Islamic sect Boko Haram, which clashed with security forces last month hundreds of kilometres (miles) away in northeastern Maiduguri.

(...)

"We had reports that the Boko Haram started like this before they grew to the point that they became security threats. We don't want this to happen in Niger state," said state government spokesman Alhaji Abdulkhadir Bala.

Darul Islam had an estimated 1,300 members, some of whom crossed into Nigeria to join, Niger police spokesman Richard Oguche said.

Nigerian immigration officials deported around 100 members over the weekend to Niger and Ghana after they were found to be non-citizens. Those found to be Nigerians were sent back to their home states.

Hey, if it would be ok to break up hypothetical white-supremacist groups, then it would be ok to break up Islamic supremacist groups that we know are all over the place and working to Islamize the world.

If they're not citizens, and are found to be participants in plots to Islamize the Free World, they must be deported.

If they're citizens, well, then treat them like we've been treating "white supremacists".

Sound reasonable? We don't want no stinking white supremacists, nor any stinking Islamic supremacists plotting to impose themselves upon us because we know what they'll do to those who are "different". And this we cannot allow.

Got to ensure they don't have opportunities to advance their supremacist agendae.

Maximum disruption, y'know. Just like Richard Warman practices. Let's use his tactics to stop Islamization, just as he uses them against innocent folks he, in his bizarre delusions, suspects to be neo-Nazis/white supremacists. Hell, let's use the "Human Rights" Commissions to target and jackboot Islamic supremacists, charging them with spreading "hatred and contempt" and so on. Bankrupt 'em! Put 'em out of commission! Why not? If the HRCs can do it to innocent Canadians all the time, why not use them to do it to actual bad people?

Conspiracy by any kind of supremacists to commit any kind of -ization ought to be made a crime.

It's not a "human right" to conspire to overthrow governments to replace them with supremacist regimes.

Supremacist groups hellbent on taking over and persecuting those who are different ought to be treated like organized crime gangs. Membership ought to be outlawed, and those caught being members sanctioned appropriately under the law. Gangs ought to be broken up, period. Hey, how come we still have known biker gangs? Like hell it's a "right" to belong to a criminal (or supremacist) organization!

Disrupt 'em to the max. Put 'em out of commission at every opportunity.

Of course, that may be easier said than done, as Islamic supremacists don't normally ride around on Harleys and wear leather jackets with "Taliban" and a skull printed on the back.

Liberals Plot To Force Unwanted Election

Photobucket
Scary Michael Ignatieff: Election now, just because?

Michael Ignatieff's Liberals are stepping up their election readiness, preparing attack ads against the Harper Conservatives and discussing two dates in November as the most likely scenario for a vote.

(...)

The shift in Liberal focus comes amid criticism from political observers of Mr. Ignatieff's lost summer – one that some believe he has squandered, failing to tell Canadians why the Harper government should be defeated and what he would do if he were prime minister.

Given that, to force one now would be illogical. But then again, we're talking about Liberals...

It will take all three opposition parties to defeat the government. And the Liberals will have their first opportunity to bring in a no-confidence motion in late September or early October. If successful, it would trigger an election around the dates in November that are being discussed, Nov. 9 and Nov. 16.

It's puzzling as to why they want to go now, just a year after the last election. And at a time of fragile economic recovery, risking instability and uncertainty.

Then again, Liberals only care about themselves...

But given this public-relations reality for those out of power, it is unlikely the Liberals will be focusing as much on Ipsos Reid, Harris-Decima or any other vote predictor when they discuss the wisdom of pulling the pin on the Harper government. What will catch their eye, however, will be that the economy seems to be pulling out of the recession -- something that could take the wind out of their election sails.

There will also be a discussion of whether blowing their Sept. 28 opportunity to force a vote -- a concession Mr. Ignatieff wrung from the PM this spring, when they agreed to call off a summer vote until after a bi-party committee could study changes to Employment Insurance -- would mean having to wait until next-year -- in the midst of the Olympics -- before they get another chance. Even then, the Liberal party's chances could be blown if Mr. Harper is seen on the benches as Canada defeats the U.S. for gold in hockey.

The Grits must decide their greatest handicap: A rebounding economy, Olympic glory and their growing reputation for caving in to Tory demands, or running with an invisible man at the helm into a vote that no one wants.

Obviously, the Liberals are only thinking of themselves. They really don't give a stowed puffin turd about Canada nor Canadians.

Left-Wing Extremist Indicted For Death Threats

Katyanne Marie Kibby: The new poster girl for Left-Wing Extremism?

Story here.

ht: Drudge Report

A Texas woman faces trial this month in Austin on charges she threatened to kill a government informant who infiltrated an Austin-based group that planned to bomb the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., last fall.

Katyanne Marie Kibby, 25, was indicted in June by a federal grand jury in Austin. She is accused of retaliating against Brandon Darby, the community activist-turned-informant who helped federal prosecutors win convictions against Bradley Neal Crowder, 24, and David Guy McKay, 23.

Prosecutors say the e-mail threat was made Jan. 10. That was two days after Crowder reached a plea bargain with federal prosecutors in Minneapolis for his role in the plot to build Molotov cocktails and attack the GOP convention in September 2008.

I believe that the DHS should be worrying about Left-Wing Extremists.

But they won't, not as long as they're controlled by the Obama Regime.

The Regime is already known for its bullying tactics, so why would we expect them to "keep an eye on" their own people?

I betcha the charges will be dropped, just as they were in the infamous case of the Democratic Party-connected racist thugs who intimidated white voters away from a polling station...

I wouldn't be surprised to see the girl pictured above being appointed to something in the Obama Regime. After all, it seems, doesn't it, that all of Obama's appointees are Left-Wing Extremists themselves.

Yep. She'd fit in with the Regime. The Regime wants more and more activists like her to help advance The Agenda.
