Liberal Control Of Senate Ends

No more stalling, no more holding up legislation in the hopes that it'll die at the end of a Parliamentary Session or due to an election.

Now the Liberals in Parliament will have a hard time voting for legislation they don't like, because they can't use their cronies in the Red Chamber to gut and kill it anymore.

Yes, Harper and the Tories want to reform the Senate so that it'll be elected, at least.

But it's not their fault that they can't.  The other guys won't cooperate.

So the other guys can't dis Harper for appointing Senators to fill vacancies.

Besides, doing so will put an end to the undemocratic stranglehold the Liberals have on the Senate, a stranglehold which has been used mostly for the purpose of undemocratically blocking bills passed by the Elected Representatives of the People.

Now that the Senate won't be used by Liberals to render Parliamentary work for naught, then Parliament will now be able to actually work, what with legislation becoming law, finally!

So it's the Liberals' fault mostly that "Parliament doesn't work".

But that's over now.

I like how the TorStar's Susan Delacourt says the Red Chamber is on its way to becoming the Blue Chamber.  Wonder if that means the red carpeting will be replaced with blue carpeting in that place.  Hell, how about tossing the carpet and just going with hardwood flooring?  Everybody's doing it today.  Carpeting is soooo old hat!

FBI Admission: We Lied About 2nd Man Arrested At Airport

Like I've been saying for years, the "authorities" lie to us regularly when it comes to telling us about their activities and investigation results regarding terrorism.

The FBI, obviously under pressure, has finally admitted that a second man was arrested in connection with the Christmas Day underwear-near-bombing on an American airliner.

Ronald G. Smith sent an e-mail to the Detroit News, the paper reported, apologizing that the information provided to federal investigators by two attorneys aboard the plane had not been made available earlier.

As WND reported, Smith and other federal officials repeatedly denied accounts of the incident by Kurt and Lori Haskell of Taylor, Mich., who described authorities handcuffing and taking away a second passenger.

Following the foiled terrorist attack, Haskell said passengers were corralled into a small, evacuated luggage claim area of an airport terminal. Then, he says, bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in.

"The man in orange, who stood some 20ft away from me the entire time until he was taken away, was immediately taken away to be searched and interrogated in a nearby room," Haskell explained. "At this time, he was not handcuffed. When he emerged from the room, he was then handcuffed and taken away."

Now... I await admission as to a third player, the "Sharp Dressed Man" described my Mr. Haskell, who talked the airport folks into letting the Underwear Terrorist onto the plane... without a passport.  C'mon, "authorities"... release the surveillance video!  If you guys are going to call Mr. Haskell a liar again, then prove it.  Release the video which will either show the Sharp Dressed Man... or show no such dude.  And don't tamper with the footage, either!

The Left's 'Secondhand Hate'

The left, which invented first "hate speech" (opinions they didn't like) and then "hate crimes" (crimes judged less on the criminal's actions than on what he was presumed to be thinking), has now gone on to its epiphany, which is "hate" defined not by your words or deeds but by what other people have decided you really think. "Hate" is no longer what you do or say, but what a liberal says that you think and projects on to you. You are punished for what someone else claims you were thinking. It hardly makes sense, but it does serve a political purpose. You could call it Secondhand Hate.

They also project their own faults onto non-Leftists.  Like, they call non-Leftists "racist" because the Leftists are racist themselves and seek to absolve themselves of this terrible fault by attempting to pretend that it's the other guys who possess this fault.  Of course, making such an accusation does carry political-warfare value and does give the Big Old Media something to trumpet and parrot to bash those nasty, terrible, awful, horrible non-Leftists.  Like, how dare they oppose any of our policies?!  Very well, then... let's call them "racist", to hell with our lack of evidence, lack of logic, lack of reason, lack of sense!  Let's call them "hateful" and whatever other bad stuff we can think of and say their opposition to any of our policies is motivated by those bad qualities of which we accuse them!

Secondhand hate is hate attributed to non-Leftists by Leftists.  It's not hate on the part of the non-Leftists, but rather hate projected onto them, secondhandedly.  It's like hand-me-down hate which we refuse to wear as we wouldn't be caught dead in a pink Che Guevara T-shirt and skintight yellow itchy polyester bellbottoms with purple platform shoes.  Frankly, I'd rather parade around in a puffy shirt than be caught dead in such a crazy getup.  Hell, I'll throw in a Scotch kilt while I'm at it, perhaps looking like some kind of Scotch musketeer or something.  But I digress for comedic reasons (again, yes).

He lauded the victims as ‘part of a long line of patriots who have made great sacrifices for their fellow citizens and for our way of life’.

Yet the previous day he had blasted ‘systemic failures’ in the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies for failing to prevent the Christmas Day syringe bomb attack.

This pissed off the CIA, which has already been attacked previously by the Obamacrat Reich, which, I believe, views the agency as pawns to be used and abused for political reasons.

‘One day the President is pointing the finger and blaming the intelligence services, saying there is a systemic failure,’ said one agency official. ‘Now we are heroes. The fact is that we are doing everything humanly possible to stay on top of the security situation. The deaths of our operatives shows just how involved we are on the ground.’

(...) CIA officials say the data was sent to the US National Counterterrorism Centre in Washington, which was set up after the 9/11 attacks as a clearing house where raw data should be analysed.  

Nice going, Mr. Perfect and Wonderful.  Wrongly blaming the CIA for the failure of the National Counterterrorism Center, to whom the warning was sent by the CIA, and who were responsible for doing their job, which they apparently didn't.

I'd say there's also a failure on the part of the Obamacrat Reich to do their job and make sure the NCTC does its own.  Apparently they didn't bother to do this.  Fault: Obamacrat Reich.  Another fail.

Media Ignores Murder Of Gay Man

 The defendant in the homicide case, Bruce Lavallee-Davidson, a gay man and an advocate of same-sex "marriage".  The victim was also a gay advocate of SSM (and was apparently also into S&M, which may have contributed to his death by the defendant).

Oh, my... kind of a "sexy" story, ain't it?  It's got all of these sensational ingredients... would make a helluva movie.

Ah.  The murder of a gay person suddenly becomes not-news just because the suspected murderer is himself a homosexual.  Interesting, that.  You know, if the murderer was a straight person, we'd be hearing a LOT about this.

Obviously the Big Old Media doesn't want to inconvenience the militant homosexual-"marriage" movement with such inconvenient, and terrible, news.  Apparently the Big Old Media considers the agenda of itself and other groups when deciding whether news is "newsworthy" and should be reported at all, or whether it should be reported properly truthfully, without suspicious factual omissions or obfuscations.

The shooting took place at dawn on April 18, but Davidson, a farmer and former school computer chief failed to notify authorities until about 8 p.m, after which officers found Wilson's body in his own basement.

Four days after the incident, Davidson and his partner, Buck, were testifying in favor of legalizing homosexual marriage in Maine, an effort that ultimately failed. The pair proclaimed they "were already married in the eyes of God."

South Portland Killing Jeopardizes Same Sex Marriage

The victim, Fred Wilson, was a fifty-year old computer specialist from Southern California who lived alone in a spacious, comfortable home near Willard Beach in South Portland. Wilson, LaValle-Davidson, and an unidentified third man, met at Wilson's home the night of Friday, April 18th. Sometime towards morning, Wilson was killed by a single shot to the head from a .44 caliber handgun. LaValle-Davidson waited until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday to call the police, allowing plenty of time for the crime scene to be altered.

The circumstances around the mysterious shooting are still unclear. At the time of the killing, it was reported that the gun used was a .22 caliber pistol, and that none of Wilson's neighbors heard a shot. Prosecutors stated that LaValle-Davidson, a former Technology Coordinator for M.S.A.D. 48, had taken drugs and had been drinking when he deliberately pulled the trigger. According to prosecutors, he did not know the gun was loaded, and for that reason was charged with manslaughter, not murder. Prosecutors also stated that LaVallee-Davidson and Wilson were involved in something like a game of "Russian Roulette."

Oh, gimme a break. Even a mentally-disordered nutcase on drugs can realize that a gun MIGHT be loaded and knows better than to point it at someone and pull the trigger! What, are gay people to be held to a lower standard than straight people when it comes to basic intelligence and common sense? Whatever the answer, it's clear that the defendant is a dangerous man.

In the eyes of their neighbors, Wilson and LaVallee were considered fine, upstanding members of the community. But there may have been a darker side to the events that Friday evening; and a picture is emerging that same sex marriage supporters may be desperate to hide. The RECORD has uncovered a document which shows that the victim, Fred Wilson, was a financial supporter of a museum dedicated to the sexual perversion of sadomasochism. In 2008, Wilson was a Supporting Member of the "Leather Archives and Museum" in Chicago. This naturally leads one to conjecture that the shooting that Friday night was related to sadomasochistic activity that got out of hand. If so, the damage to the carefully-crafted wholesome image of same sex marriage could be enormous.

The RECORD has previously reported on a sadomasochist group in Portland which marches in the annual 'gay pride' parade; and has shown that there is substantial cross-over between mainstream homosexual rights groups and the subculture of perversion.

Oh, of course... we must necessarily say that only a tiny, tiny minority of homosexuals are extremists and a danger to themselves and others... just like we must say so about Islamists.  Kind of an automatic, politically-correct reflex response to be uttered as a matter of course whilst in polite, mixed company.  Gotta say the right thing and not ask questions, beyond and extrapolated from this one incident, about the rest of the grouping to which the players belonged.

You know, if these folks weren't two gay guys, and were rather a man and woman who were devout Christians, you just know that the Big Old Media would be gleefully telling the whole world about it for a long, long, long time, top and bottom of each and every hour, and there'd be lots of fearmongering about Christians in general based on this one incident...  And many Christianophobes would be going around falsely authoratively, with jutted chins, declaring that Christianity was a "mental illness" (actually, this has happened, believe it or not, and a man was substantially discriminated against because of such prejudice) and calling for legislation to further marginalize Christianity and anyone who is Christian...

Isn't it amazing how people look so fine, normal, upstanding and contributory to society, but once out of the Public/Media eye, they transform into something wholly different?

The true story is behind the scenes, not in the spotlight, most of the time.

A Cowardly, Damning Out-Of-Court 'Settlement'

For society at large, however, this is a most unsatisfying outcome. The Liberal government has never been able to argue coherently, in or out of court, against Mr. Brown’s and Ms. Chatwell’s basic version of events: that their family and home were abandoned to the caprices of often-intimidating protesters whose appalling conduct the police refused to … well, to police. This shocking abdication of the government’s most basic responsibilities deserves a stern rebuke from the highest court available: The government cannot decline to enforce the law and protect its citizens simply because it might anger a certain segment of society or create an uncomfortable political situation.

We weren’t going to get that satisfaction from the civil suit, of course, but a humiliating finding against the government and in Mr. Brown’s and Ms. Chatwell’s favour would have been gratifying. Now we won’t get it. And we won’t hear allegedly damning testimony from OPP officers that they had indeed been given orders to stand back and let events unfold as they may. That testimony, which was to be heard next week, is the best explanation available as to why the government suddenly decided to settle.

To what extent, if any at all, should political leaders be allowed to direct/control the police? 

Shall the police be required to follow any order at all, without exception, from their political masters?  

Shall the police be required to follow illegal, unconstitutional orders dictated by political masters?

These are some serious, critically-important questions that absolutely must be asked and answered.

What kind of a state is it if the political leaders control the police, telling them when to enforce, when not to enforce, and against whom?

Here we go again, with the Toronto Star acting as the de-facto Leftist Opposition Propaganda Machine, along with other Big Old Media outlets.

Looks like the TS is granting the Leftist Opposition a voice in lieu of being able to voice their partisan-nonsense attacks on the government in the House for a measly couple of months.  Eight short weeks.  Big deal.  They'll soon enough be back in the House, anyway.

Besides, all they want to do is bash the government with allegations of badness.  They're running with allegations of "torture" of Enemy "detainees", stemming, ultimately, from the Enemy itself, who cannot be considered a credible witness at all, obviously!

The Leftist Opposition believes it's found a good stick with which to effectively bash and injure the government's standing with the Public, even though it's a dirty weapon based on allegations from wholly-non-credible sources, albeit being mouthed via seemingly credible sources that receive too much credit from the Big Old Media and the Leftist Opposition for their worthless hearsay based on rumors started by none other than our Mortal Enemy.

Like, where's the evidence of "torture" of captured Enemy Combatants (Taliban and/or other Islamic Supremacist Enemies)?

The Leftist Opposition and their comrades in the Big Old Media are telling us that the Enemy was "tortured" by fellow Islamists just because the Enemy said so.  What form of "torture" is alleged?  Like, face-slapping?  Waterboarding?  Sleep deprivation?  Bare-bum spanking?  Noogies?  Atomic wedgies?  Arm-skin reverse-twisting?  What?  Or the kind of horrific, inhuman stuff the Taliban does to people for the hell of it?

Funny, but who are we to judge the ways of another country, another people?  Isn't this the Left's own philosophy?  They always say, who are we to judge?  Who are we to impose our views onto them?  Guess what?  Our government didn't judge, and didn't impose our views onto the Afghan government.  This is why our Forces turned Enemy prisoners over to the Afghan government, precisely for this very reasoning.  We could've had our own Gitmo or some other detention facility, but the politics of that were too inhospitable to the concept, so we did what the Left and the Islamic World wanted us to do- leave the prisoners in the "care" of the Islamic regime in Afghanistan under Hamid Karzai.

What else were we to do?  What the hell does the Left expect of us?  They're being disingenous!

Besides, the Left doesn't make as much of a big deal about the frequently-to-death torture that happens all the time in the Islamic World in the name of Islam, according to Shariah Law.

So for the Left to make a big stink ONLY WHEN there's any form of Free World connection to any "torture", alleged or actual, by Islamists... is disingenous.

So to make 'em take a couple months' break from their disingenuousness and unfair, unwarranted, incessant, distracting bashing of the government over this, making it impossible to focus on legislation and stuff, is just pure bullshit.

They're just mad that they're being denied their opportunity to continue to bash the government for partisan political warfare reasons.

And the likes of the Toronto Star are only too happy to aid and abet this partisan political warfare by their comrades in the Leftist Opposition.

And isn't it nice to see the Three Stooges Coalition is back together again?  They're all on the same side, a tag team, taking turns bashing the government with the dirty-fighting stick.  The Liberals, the NDP, the separatist Bloc.  They're all of one fundamental ideological orientation and it's showing... again.  They might as well merge into one party, though thankfully that's not going to happen, thanks to their delusions that they're really not all that much the same kind of people sharing the same kind of fundamental worldview.

The only people "angry" seem to be the Left-Wing Extremists of the Leftist Opposition.  The TS gives no reason to believe that ordinary Canadians have even been paying any attention whatsoever.  After all, if all we see is angry Neo-Communists standing up for Taliban evildoers and bashing our own country, whilst preventing Parliament from getting anything done...

Nativity Scenes Banned In Two Florida Cities

Here we go again with the Christian-bashing.

According to the ADF, Nativity scenes traditionally have adorned the front of the city hall in Inverness and in Boca Raton the display usually has been put up at the libraries. 

"But this year city officials have eliminated them from holiday displays, apparently out of fear of litigation from groups hostile to this nation's traditions," the ADF said.

The ADF's letter to Inverness officials said, "Unfortunately, it appears as though unfounded beliefs about Christmas celebrations may have led you to consider self-censorship of the perfectly legal Nativity display. It is our firm opinion that the City of Inverness need not fear legal liability for erecting and placing a Nativity display on public grounds."

In other words, prejudice, hate and intimidation are responsible for what happened.  The decades-long big-lies hate campaign against Christians and Christianity (Leftists will deny there is any such thing because they're, after all, Leftists, with the mental disorders that make them so).  They'd call others "hateful" for denying that there's any organized-and-aided-by-the-Big-Media "hate campaign" against homosexuals or any other group, we know full well.

The cities would never ban the homosexual parades out of fear of litigation from groups opposed to them, would they?  Feck, no!  Never!  After all, the very groups who want to get rid of Christianity in public and force it into the private homes of Christians only, they'd wage a campaign of demonization of those groups as "haters" and so on and so forth, and we know this from observing them doing it in the past.

They'll make sure there are "gay" parades every year, to promote homosexuality as a lifestyle, a philosophy and a de-facto religion.  It seems they belive such public celebration is mandatory.

But the two-millennium-old celebration of Christmas, with the Nativity Scene, was banned this past Christmas in two Florida cities.

Why is public celebration of one's sexual choice, ideology, philosophy and lifestyle supposedly a "right" and must be mandatorily financed by the taxpayers via local governments, but the same local governments can turn their backs on the US Constitution and violate the rights of religious peoples to practice their faith, including in public, where it's also guaranteed by the Constitution via the freedom to assemble and associate publicly?

"Banning Christmas displays is clearly out of sync with the beliefs of the American people, common sense, and the Constitution," said ADF Senior Legal Counsel Joel Oster. "Eradicating the Nativity scene … sends a hostile message to the more than 90 percent of Americans who celebrate Christmas."

Something's wrong with those responsible for the decision to ban the Nativity Scenes and, as a result, make Christians feel like they're not accepted, not treated fairly, in those cities.

Those responsible should be taken before court to determine whether punishment is warranted to "send a message" to others who might similarly discriminate against Christians.

Christianophobic hate is obviously growing very quickly amongst the powerful political elite.

Such powerful political elite need to be closely monitored for evidence of hateful tendencies and thoughts, I'd say.  After all, they themselves want to closely monitor anyone who doesn't fit their special fringe brethren's radical ideas of who and what is acceptable and tolerable.

It's like the Romans have invaded and taken over the Free World, just as have the Islamic Supremacist-Imperialists and the Neo-Communists.

After all, who's more persecuted nowadays, besides the JudeoChristians and folks who dissent from the Party Line of the Powerful, Wealthy Elite's De-Facto Unaccountable Dictatorship?

No one's stopping the Doubting Thomases from publicly saying they don't believe in Jesus Christ, but why are the Doubting Thomases trying to stop the most prominent expressions of the faith of Christians in their Savior?

Why the double standard?

Christians aren't hurting anyone by having a Nativity display in public.  Such displays must be allowed, just as the homosexual parades are allowed in public places.  To ban this most important and most symbolic display of the faith of Christians is nothing short of hatred and discrimination.

Russia, to me, is looking a lot more and more like Nazi Germany these days.

"I don't know why I was detained... How could I possibly offer any resistance to anyone?" she said, quoted by Echo Moskvy radio, which reported that between 30 and 50 people had been detained.

A coalition of opposition groups organised the December 31 rally to defend their right to protest, as enshrined under Article 31 of the Russian constitution. Unsanctioned rallies are one of the few outlets for Russia's weak and fragmented opposition.

"Down with Putinism, Freedom to Russia," one protester shouted from the window of a bus being driven to a local police station, a reference to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. The opposition say Putin was the architect of a major clampdown on civil liberties in Russia during his presidency from 2000-2008.

Activists shouted "shame" as police detained several elderly people.

Apparently the crackdown by the Camo Cops is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.  As mentioned, the Russian Constitution guarantees freedom to protest.

Apparently in Russia, the Putinists ignore the Constitution whenever convenient.  Just like the Obamacrats in Obamerica.  How lovely.  Hey, does that mean that anyone can ignore the Constitution when convenient, too?  Why not?  See the can of worms, the Pandora's box that the Hard Left has opened by ignoring their constitutions and human rights at their convenience?

Thank goodness that in America even the Obamacrat Reich doesn't dare try to bully and silence the Tea Party People with police.  Luckily they just use the Big Old Media, deranged, desperate-for-work-and-money Hollyweird proxies and the White House Bully Pulpit.  So far, anyway.  No telling how far the Obamacrats will go to silence dissent; it's clear that they badly want to shut up all dissent.  Already they have no problem silencing anyone who dares to merely stand around holding a Bible anywhere within sight and earshot of abortion clinics and homosexually-themed events.  Of course, this happened even during Bush's presidency, to be fair (though it's really a local-police/local-politicial-leadership thing), but, hey, Obama promised "change", and the same stuff is still happening.
