Hammer Registry/Ban Next?

Crazy guy with hammer goes on rampage during special parade

Hell, maybe it was terrorism. Sure, why not? (Just a little chuckle for the airheaded dummies at StageLeft who naturally expected me to say this!)

Nah. Just some crazy scumbag with a hammer and a toy handgun.

Maybe it was a disgruntled handyman or construction worker.

What do you think? Should hammers be registered or banned so as to prevent further violence via hammer? Hey, why not? Leftists think that banning handguns will make them go away, an ironic belief, considering they claim that banning drugs won't even reduce their use, let alone make them go away.

But don't be shocked to hear at least one Leftist demand a hammer ban!

How about a knife registry or ban? What about baseball bats? Little statues? Lead pipes? Ropes? Candlesticks? Pillows? Fists/feet?

Seriously, the best solution is to lock that guy up so that he can no longer go around hitting people with a hammer. Calling for a ban on hammers will not stop hammer attacks! People will still be able to get hammers on the street. They'll come across the border. They'll be illegally manufactured all over the place. Count on it.

Let me tell y'all, when bad guys see other bad guys being locked up for a long, long, long time for commiting hammer violence, they'll tend to think twice about doing the same themselves.

Also, seriously, if everyone carried a hammer, then hammer violence would go down. Why? Because, as dictated by common sense, people are less likely to go around hitting other people with hammers when they know that they'll get hit with hammers by those they've hit with their hammer. How hard is this to understand?

Now apply the same common sense to guns.

This post is meant for Leftists. Maybe this will have helped them to better understand...

If only the folks in the parade had been carrying hammers... well, the nutcase would've been sorry he went on his crazy hit-everybody-with-a-hammer spree in the first place!
