Unusual Big Media Report: Corruption Exposed in Aboriginal Group

UPDATE: Mary T., in the comments, advises us...

Further investigation of this shows that the audit was done for the 2005-6 year. The senator was not leader of this group till late 2006. Media sort of forgot that fact.

Ah. Again with the Big Media failing to do its duty and research the real story so as to avoid looking like fools. Or did they know, and proceed to report thusly anyway? Either way, it's yet more evidence that Big Media isn't any better than the blogosphere, a collection of mere amateurs sitting in front of computers in pajamas, undies or nothing at all! I believe the Big Media owe the Senator and all Conservatives everywhere an apology for its amateurish negligence.

Ok... now, let's hear about what was discovered with respect to any other Aboriginal groups who may have inappropriately treated taxpayer funds and were caught.

Not just aboriginal groups who were led by someone who has something to do with the Conservatives.

Really... is it only ok to expose Aboriginal-group corruption when it's linked to a Conservative?

I'm waiting for the cries of "racism" coming from Hard-Left, anti-Conservative and radical Aboriginal propagandists stemming from the discovery of corruption on the part of an Aboriginal group, the exposure of such corruption and the government demanding the group pay back the money they received from the taxpayers. After all, how dare anyone treat Aboriginals like everyone else, like equals? Don't those racists know that Aboriginals are, unlike the evil "white man", perfect, totally scrupulous, and never do anything inappropriate at all? Don't they know that it's only non-Aboriginals who are corrupt? How dare they? It's racist to look for inappropriate behavior on the part of the perfect Aboriginals, racist to treat them the same as everyone else!

Surely this isn't the only instance of corruption in an Aboriginal political group. We've heard many legitimate complaints from ordinary Aboriginals about their political leadership being corrupt, so we know that there's probably corruption, just as we know there definitely is in the non-Aboriginal realms of Canada. After all, we know what politics and politicians are like, and that being of special-group membership doesn't make anyone any different when it comes to being human, imperfect, and easily corrupted by power!

I suspect that the Big Media reported it this time only because it makes Prime Minister Harper and the Conservatives look bad. The Leftist-dominated Big Media, all of a sudden, wants to highlight Aboriginal corruption just this once because this time it takes away from the fact that a Conservative Prime Minister appointed an Aboriginal to the Senate, an act which one would expect to be received positively and reflect positively on the Conservatives, whom the Left and many radical Aboriginal propagandists have wrongly, maliciously accused of somehow being "anti-Aboriginal" and stuff like that, a charge which is completely absurd in the first place, not to mention legally actionable.

What the Big Media is doing in suddenly highlighting Aboriginal corruption like this, something it usually doesn't do (they don't want to be accused of "racism" for regularly, when it happens, highlighting any wrongdoing on the part of certain groups), is a subtle form of propaganda with a view to tarnishing the Conservatives. They wouldn't do this to the Liberals, would they? Well, subtle it may be, but I'm calling it for what I see it! Of course, this time, the Big Leftist Media will get let off the hook, as it's all in the name of making the Conservatives look bad instead of good. I bet there was a fishing expedition to dig up dirt on Mr. Brazeau, due to his Conservative ties.

It's a partisan thing, you see. A make-Conservatives-look-bad-when-they-would've-looked-good-if-nobody-had-dug-up-dirt-and-exposed-it thing.

Interesting and worthy of careful thought... this sudden interest on the part of the Big Leftist Media in exposing corruption by Aboriginals messing around with and misusing the tax dollars of Canadians. All of a sudden. It won't last, of course... unless there's a whole lot of Conservative Aboriginals out there leading Aboriginal groups.

How much more money must be returned? How about the Big Leftist Media investigate and report on that? Maybe if we tell them that all Aboriginal corruption has a linkage of some sort to the Conservatives, then they'll go fishing for information on any irregularities found and report it all then.
