Terror Threat Against Basketball Stadiums: FBI

Via NealeNews,

ABC News reports:

With college basketball championships under way around the country, the FBI has warned stadium operators of a possible suicide bomb attack at sporting events.

In a directive issued today, obtained by ABC News, the FBI said a posting on an extremist message board "advocated suicide attacks against sporting events as a cost-effective means of killing thousands of Americans."

This needs to be taken very seriously. Remember this? The FBI was downplaying the OU football stadium terror attempt as just a suicide by a solitary man acting alone despite the indubitable forensic evidence of clear and present danger to the over 80,000 spectators from Joel Henry Hinrichs III, surrounding whom there were suspected terrorism-oriented figures. Authorities were far too quick, and without any proof, to dismiss the bombing as a "suicide" whereas it has been concluded it was a premature set-off of a serious bomb designed specifically to inflict maximum casualties.

Immediately following that bombing, security was tightened at the OU stadium. Despite the university's vociferous denials of any threat.

And now the FBI itself has found an email... just an email... to warrant a warning? Think about it all for yourself. Forensic evidence is proof, yet the FBI doesn't issue a warning. Still, one unspecific, unverified email would be enough for a warning?

At least they're doing something rather than nothing. I just ask why they downplayed the OU terrorism attempt.

Still, in light of the OU bombing, this advisory must be taken very seriously. Watch out at sporting events for people in bulky clothing which could conceal explosives. Don't be afraid to go immediately to security personnel or law enforcement. You might prevent a terrorist attack and save potentially thousands of lives.
