Dion Caught With Pants Down On Economy, Grasp of English

Unfit to govern!
The video is rather embarrassing to watch. Can you imagine this guy as Prime Minister, representing Canada on the world stage? How will he deal with, say, the threats posed by the likes of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Vladimir Putin? How will he deal with hostile Chinese Communists whose English is far superior to his? He'd make Canada and Canadians an international laughingstock!

Or: The Inconvenient Truth About Prime Minister-Wannabe Stephane Dion!

ht: National Newswatch

The interview was aired by ATV, CTV's Atlantic affiliate, and later on the national political show Mike Duffy Live. In it, host Steve Murphy asks Dion: "If you were prime minister now, what would you have done about the economy and this crisis that Mr. Harper has not done?"

Dion struggles to understand the question's conditional subjunctive tense, before attempting to answer, stumbling as he describes his 30-day, five-point plan for post-election consultations.

The anchor reposes the question and the encounter descends into a somewhat farcical encounter, as Dion and the host try to make themselves understood. At one point, an aide explains off-camera what the question is.

Dion answers Murphy's question the third time it is posed.

Harper told reporters that: "When you're managing a trillion and a half dollar economy, you don't get a chance to do do-overs, over and over again."

Yes, the Liberals are saying that to bring this inconvenient truth to light for the voters' information was nasty, nasty, nasty, but, hey, we're talking about the Liberals here! The Liberals wrote the book on nasty! They hate Alberta, they hate Christians, they hate Americans, they hate Israel, they hate anyone who isn't a Liberal or a moonbat! They mock peoples' religion, they mock their appearance and the way they speak, they mock their names, they mock whatever's convenient to mock for the sake of electoral gain! If you weren't aware of this, then there's something really, really, fookin' wrong with you! Shee-it, don't you even remember the hateful prop-brandishing Warren Kinsella when he mocked Stockwell Day's religious beliefs in order to pander to the intolerance and mean-spiritedness of some atheist/leftist voters?

The inconvenient truth for the Liberals is that the leader they chose to be their Prime Minister is a stammering fool! Why the hell, after all these years in politics, didn't he bother to master English?

By the way, as for Dion's alleged hearing impairment, gimme a break! Listen, I'm friggin' deaf as a brick wall, and I understand English perfectly! I dismiss his claim that he can't learn English very well, and chalk it up to either a refusal to put in the time, effort, and sessions with professional bilingual speech therapists... or maybe he has a mental disorder... or both.

I wouldn't have gone on tv like that unless I was properly prepared, like with some kind of back-up interpretation to aid my lipreading, as, keep in mind, lipreading is not 100% effective.

Stephane Dion himself wasn't prepared at all. He didn't even foresee the potential of not understanding questions in English.

Or maybe he pretended to misunderstand the question as a stalling tactic so that he could think up an answer that sounded at least a little decent, or have one of his handlers somehow tell him what to say.

I may be totally deaf myself, but I know for certain that if I put in the time, the effort and spent the money on professional bilingual speech therapy, I could learn to master the French language in oral communication. I know this, as I've already learned a little bit and found it quite easy, actually! So gimme a frickin' break, Stephanie Deeyawn, and quit pissin' on my leg, man!

If you ask me, I'm more qualified to be Prime Minister than Stephane Dion! At least I've, within my business degree, ten university economics courses, including final-year ones, to my credit! Besides, PM Harper, he has a master's degree in economics himself, whereas Stephane Dion is merely a sociology professor. So...

Besides, remember PM Chretien? He's even more hearing-impaired than Dion, but he somehow adapted... sort of, anyway... not that he ever made much sense, either, nor that he even understood much of anything but how to win elections by being a nasty bully!

If Dion has a hearing problem, then why doesn't he get a friggin' hearing aid and/or a friggin' sign language interpreter? What is he, in friggin' denial? Does he expect to be excused for incompetence just because it's not his fault?

Sorry; if you can't do it or won't take the steps necessary to facilitate your performance in light of your handicaps, then you aren't fit to govern the country!

Stephen Harper, on the other hand, is!

I see that the Liberals demanded CTV not air the inconvenient tape, but the CTV did anyway. Shades of Barack Hussein Obama, whose team tries to intimidate folks from telling voters the inconvenient truth about him, too!

I also note that the Liberal-partisan Toronto Star is reporting in a manner that sounds sympathetic and forgiving of Dion's shortcomings and tries to make Harper sound nasty for simply doing his job of running his election campaign, not being any more "nasty" than the Liberals have already been.

Stephane Dion and the Liberals: Not worth the risk. Besides, these guys are responsible for ADSCAM and for at least $40 million in unaccounted-for taxpayers' funds.
