Nervous Liberals Try To Censor Press To Avoid Embarrassment

Nothing surprising about that. We know full well what kind of people comprise the Liberal Party, after all, certainly the leadership. We know that they use the courts to try to intimidate people into not telling the inconvenient truth about them. And now we see that even the mainstream media is a target of this Liberal Fascist censorship-bullying attempts.

Such bullying. Such heavy-handedness. And these are the fine folks who dare accuse Prime Minister Harper of this sort of thing? Hoo-boy! Pot, kettle.

Warren Kinsella would, I think, be, well, extremely proud of his estranged comrades.

OTTAWA -- Embarrassed federal Liberals called off frantic court efforts yesterday to stop a newspaper from publishing a list of Quebec election candidates after learning that the paper did not possess the potentially revealing document in the first place.

Boy, talk about nervous nellies. Any guesses as to why they're nervous?

The party faced internal ridicule for wasting money and accusations of attempting to suppress press freedom before it dropped the matter on seeing the list that the paper had obtained. Critics also said the incident is an example of disarray within Liberal ranks in Quebec.

Bad! Very, very bad!

"It is a colossal waste of money for a party that is cash strapped. It looks secretive," an Ontario Liberal MP told The Globe and Mail yesterday. "It is most bizarre."

(...)

"There is a possibility La Presse would have in their hands the name of personalities who may want to run for us or who have decided to run for us but who do not want that to be known for very legitimate reasons," Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion said.

Hmm... why, I wonder, would anyone be embarrassed to be outed as a Liberal? Oh, wait... of course! Naturally... I guess the stigma of being Liberal is right up there with being a closet drag queen or a terrorist sympathizer/supporter or something like that, with apologies to closet drag queens.

"This is not about the staff at Joe's garage," said Anne Kothawala, president of the Canadian Newspaper Association. "This is about prospective candidates in a future general election and this is clearly an issue of interest to the public. To suggest otherwise is ridiculous."

Looks like the Liberals have finally blown it with the MSM. One can only hope!

Clearly, the Liberals are hiding something. Could it be the fact that, out of 75 potential candidate nominees, they have only half that, despite claiming they're "ready for an election"? Could it be that a top Liberal spokesperson recently claimed that they had about 50, but it turns out that they have only about 36?

And why would the so-called "Natural Governing Party" (NGP) be unable to get candidates to run for them in Quebec? Is this therefore no longer the NGP? Have they actually shot themselves in both feet and ceded the title to the Conservatives? One would logically deduce.
