As Iraq Improves, MSM Ignores
Seems the MSM is only interested in reporting negative stuff.
The likely implication?
Come to think of it, what does the Left have going for it other than bad stuff happening in Iraq/Afghanistan and and very little else of consequence? Is this all the Democrats in the US, the Liberals in Canada and so on have to offer voters: fearmongering with a view to scaring people away from voting for conservative political parties who understand the importance of fighting terrorism and other threats, both at home and abroad?
The narrow agenda of the MSM and the Left is being exposed via observation of their ignorant, denying posture pertaining to good news replacing the bad news for which they hunger. Clearly, good news is an inconvenient truth for the MSM/Left! What a bunch of depressing sad sacks!
A conservative media watchdog has conducted a study which documents that as conditions in Iraq have improved over the course of the last three months, coverage of the war on the big three networks has decreased.
The Media Research Center (MRC) says for more than three years, the major networks offered extensive coverage of the failures in Iraq and placed a skeptical spin on General David Petraeus' September 10 surge progress report. But Tim Graham, who serves as director of media analysis at the MRC, says the networks' zeal for reporting on Iraq has declined as the violence and casualties have declined in the war-torn country in recent months.
The likely implication?
Graham thinks if this trend continues, it will certainly affect the networks coverage during the upcoming presidential election year. "I expect the Iraq issue will pretty much drop out of the race, especially in the Democratic side," he predicts. "But I think perhaps the overconfidence the Democrats have had this year will evaporate a little -- and so they will go back to worrying about their real weakness on national security."

Gunman Shoots Four, Kills Two At Christian Missionary Center

Hate crime? If it was a mosque or Islamic school, surely the CAIR would be screaming such things as "Islamophobia", "hate crime", "rising, rampant, crisis-level anti-Muslim violence" and demanding the government do even more to protect Muslims.
How about protecting Christians, too, as well as Jews? These folks are being attacked, too.
By the way, did you know that, according to the FBI, in 2006, there were 156 anti-Islamic attacks reported, compared to 967 anti-Jewish attacks (comprising the vast majority of religiously-related attacks, in fact) in America? Not only that, "hate crimes" against Muslims have plummeted a lot, 68%, since the post-9/11 aftermath. So where on earth does the likes of the CAIR get the idea of "rising Islamophobic violence and hatred"?
Any attack on any religious group is one too many. But let's be honest. Muslims aren't suffering any relatively great crisis of intolerance manifesting into violence against them compared to, say, Jews.

Germany Seeks To Ban Scientology
Shades of the Third Reich.
Oh, really? What about Islam? Surely they don't think Islam is "compatible with the German Constitution", as Islam rejects any state apparatus that isn't wholly founded on Islam, requires Islam as the constitution, government and law. Why pick on Scientology? Have Scientologists been going around commiting terrorism? Did Scientologists do 9/11? No. That was Islamists. But it's Scientology that gets banned, not Islam... just because the Reich doesn't like Scientologists. (I guess they still like their Muslim brothers-in-arms... recalling the Muslim Nazis in WWII). I think the German Reich today may be dhimmi as well as possibly Neo-Nazi.
Oh, and that's not all. In addition to the Jews and the Scientologists, Germany obviously considers Christians to be pretty much deviant and offside with the dogmatic imperatives of the Reich, thus maintaining Hitler's own law against homeschooling, implementing police-state tactics to break up homeschooling Christian families, incarcerate them, freeze their assets, fine them, force their homeschooled children into psychiatric examination... I've blogged about this herein, thanks to World Net Daily's courage to point the finger at what the German Reich is doing to Christians who don't want to put their children into government schools to be indoctrinated in social extremist dogmas such as homosexuality, which is against their faith, and who want to be allowed to have the right to educate their own children to avoid the unnecessary forced indoctrination/brainwashing in controversial social extremist matters that have nothing to do with education and skill development. (I am unaware as to what the situation is for Muslims, who would, I believe, also find this indoctrination to be unacceptable to them as Muslims, but that's another issue for future investigation... I doubt that the Reich is imposing on the Muslims like it's imposing on Christians and has been imposing on Jews and others... of course, the Reich must fear devastating riots and so on by Muslims).
I see... the Reich unilaterally deems what is and isn't a religion. Well, what do you expect from such as state regime? They're acting just like the Chinese Communist Party when the CCP deemed Falun Gong a "terrorist group" and other nasty (and wholly false) stuff.

Moonbat Spotlight: NDP's Unhinged Irene Mathyssen
Paranoid Leftwing extremist or just brainfarting over-reactionary feminist MP?No wonder the New Democratic Party cannot ever become government!
During Wednesday's question period in the House of Commons, Irene Mathyssen claimed that she had seen James Moore viewing pictures of "scantily clad" women on his laptop in the parliamentary chamber.
She then went on to question his integrity as a member of the Commons, claiming his actions disrespected women.
Moore vehemently denied he had done anything wrong, and now it turns out that he wasn't looking at improper images at all.
The pictures that Mathyssen had seen -- and misinterpreted as improper -- were apparently just images of a friend.
CTV's David Akin said that he spoke with Moore Wednesday evening. He was told that Moore and Mathyssen have spoken since their exchange in the House and that Moore had explained that the pictures were of his girlfriend.
Well, I'm certain that the moonbatty outburst is forgivable. I'm pleased that Irene's going to apologize for jumping to conclusions over a mere perception and misapprehension.
She's a bigger woman than Harry Reid will ever be. Remember Harry Reid's inaccurate accusation against Rush Limbaugh as having called soldiers "phony"? Well, Harry hasn't apologized, and, looking as arrogant as Mussolini, continues to insist that he was right when we who studied the transcripts know he's wrong.
Oh, and by the way, would a NDPer dare say anything if Mr. Moore had been looking at pics of a man in a Speedo? I doubt it- the NDPs is too politically correct; never would they dare criticize someone for looking at same-sex pix, although heterosexuals are fair game, apparently! Maybe New Democrats have a problem with heterophobia to go along with their homofascism. Oh, and, of course, they're no better than the Liberals, either, who are just as extremely leftwing and unhingedly over-reactionary as the NDPers... wonder why they don't just merge into one party and pool their voter support to stop splitting the far-left vote? How could this happen in Canada?
I'd say it happened thanks to de-facto facilitation by Liberal federal governments of the past who tended to liberalize stuff like that, tending to refuse to get tough on such things. No wonder it's flourishing. I'm reminded of the time a Liberal Immigration Minister went to bat to help a foreigner come to Canada for the purpose of taking off her clothes in front of drunken people. Despite the fact that many far more deserving (like doctors, etc.) legal immigrants were waiting to get in legally.
Then again, liberals aren't known to be all that big on morality and law enforcement. They're more well-known to be real big on "political correctness". They'd tell us not to say "illegal aliens" and demand we say "undocumented workers". They'd demand we not say "whores" or "sex slaves". They'd demand we say "adult recreational service laborers" or something like that.
No wonder thousands of illegal aliens who originally entered America from Mexico illegally have come up here to Canada. It was bound to happen. After all, our border is mostly undefended, too... When the state apparatus is lax in enforcing the laws with respect to immigration, there will always be more illegal aliens coming and staying.
The Left wants to let them all come and stay, just like that, without exception. Including criminals. Including terrorists and spies. I'm reminded of how easy it was for Ahmed Ressam, the "Millennium Bomber", to enter and stay in Canada, drawing social benefits as if a citizen, despite being caught commiting crimes to support his plot to go to L.A. to blow up the airport there. It was sheer luck that he was caught at the border before he could enter the U.S. to blow up LAX.
The Left would have us open our borders to everyone and anyone from all across the world. If we did that, just imagine the problems we'd have with millions, perhaps even billions, of folks suddenly pouring in, crowding all our public services and everything, without even paying taxes for it, most often!

How could this happen in Canada?
I'd say it happened thanks to de-facto facilitation by Liberal federal governments of the past who tended to liberalize stuff like that, tending to refuse to get tough on such things. No wonder it's flourishing. I'm reminded of the time a Liberal Immigration Minister went to bat to help a foreigner come to Canada for the purpose of taking off her clothes in front of drunken people. Despite the fact that many far more deserving (like doctors, etc.) legal immigrants were waiting to get in legally.
Then again, liberals aren't known to be all that big on morality and law enforcement. They're more well-known to be real big on "political correctness". They'd tell us not to say "illegal aliens" and demand we say "undocumented workers". They'd demand we not say "whores" or "sex slaves". They'd demand we say "adult recreational service laborers" or something like that.
No wonder thousands of illegal aliens who originally entered America from Mexico illegally have come up here to Canada. It was bound to happen. After all, our border is mostly undefended, too... When the state apparatus is lax in enforcing the laws with respect to immigration, there will always be more illegal aliens coming and staying.
