Emphasis mine...
First we learn about the mysterious thefts of seventeen school buses in Houston.
The Houston Police Department's Criminal Intelligence Division, the FBI and the Harris County Sheriff's Office are all concerned about a large number of school buses that have been stolen in the Houston area over the last several months.
Seventeen large, yellow school buses were stolen recently from various charter schools, business schools and private bus companies. Not one has disappeared from HISD.
(...)
While it is important to point out that there is no known threat, HPD's Criminal Intelligence Division mentioned in a recent e-mail that these school bus thefts are a homeland security concern.
(...)
Nevertheless, since the Sept. 11 attacks the thought of terrorists targeting children has certainly been discussed by the Department of Homeland Security. And that is why finding out what happened to these buses is very important.
Now, add to that, this:
Members of Extremist Groups Have Obtained School Bus Drivers Licences...
From Fox News: The FBI has issued an "informational bulletin" to state and local officials saying to watch out for people tied to extremist groups trying to earn licenses to drive school buses.
The Associated Press reports that members of the unnamed extremist groups have succeeded in gaining the drivers licenses, but a Department of Homeland Security official told FOX News that "at this time there is no evidence that any of these individuals have got these jobs, or got hold of school buses."
"No evidence" that these "individuals" hold school bus drivers' jobs or have acquired any of the seventeen school buses stolen in Houston, ok, but I'm afraid that the fact that there is, as claimed, "no evidence" that this is the case doesn't do anything to reassure us that there's "nothing to worry about; there's no threat".
Of course, the authorities, as always, tell us that there's nothing at all to worry about, despite this worrying information, which, in the mind of the reasonable person, ties nicely into the missing school buses:
"There is no plot. There is no threat. And parents and children can feel perfectly safe," FBI spokesman Richard Kolko told FOXNews.com.
Yeah, right. What are we, stupid? I swear, sometimes the authorities remind me of the psychoaffective Leftist Baghdad BOBulican / HanniBalbulican Lecter from "StageLeft.info" who loves to ridicule anyone who dares indicate anything negative relating to the threat environment and possible terrorist or other enemy plots. (It's not as if such Leftists themselves aren't insanely paranoid themselves about Bush, Christians, Israel, anything they phobically label "right-wing", etc...)
Why else would the FBI send out a bulletin to watch out for these supposedly nonthreatening, albeit "members of extremist groups", guys, if there is no plot, no threat, nothing to worry about? Particularly when seventeen school buses were stolen in one city alone? You know, if we do nothing and there are terrorist attacks involving school buses, you can bet the farm that the Left and the MSM will say, "You knew and you did nothing... you even said there was nothing to worry about!"... despite the fact that the Left has been trying to prevent the authorities from doing anything to effectively prevent future terrorist attacks, issuing accusations of "Islamophobia", "racial profiling", "violating civil rights", etc... And the CAIR isn't helping, either, other than their own brethren, including any who are suspected of extremist ideology, but this is expected of a propaganda organization connected to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and who is an unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism-facilitation criminal case.
Of course, this is the way it works, most likely: Don't make the people panic, as, after all, the terrorists want us to panic. But, behind the scenes, the authorities are hunting down the enemy so as to detect and capture them, hopefully below the public-awareness radar, to prevent them from executing whatever plots they've got prepared.
Don't forget that the 9/11 hijackers took flight training lessons prior to the execution of their plot, which we didn't even have a hint might possibly be real.
Now we have a hint... that schoolchildren are obviously targets for terrorists.
Therefore, keep your eyes open for suspicious individuals on school grounds and in and around school buses. And report anything that could reasonably be construed a threat.
After all, since 9/11, millions of us previously blissfully unaware/ignorant Free World citizens know better.
