Well, two things to consider.
One, that the election was obviously a fraud.
Two, it's evident that things haven't really changed that much. It's still an intolerant Islamic nation without equal rights for women and without freedom of expression. Hell, show me any conclusive, as opposed to for-show-only evidence of real progress on human rights... not holding my breath.
The problem is Islam. As long as fundamentalist Islam is the rule, then it's a lost cause.
