The ascendance of the Ignatieff Liberals to the "top" isn't really happening, despite a few recent polls claiming they were on top (hell, the NDP was on top in some polls in 1988, I recall, and we know how long that lasted, and that it never happened again).
Polls are, after all, weird things.
