A student is suing Los Angeles City College over an incident in which a professor refused to let him finish a speech against gay marriage(...)
Student Jonathan Lopez told the Times that the professor, John Matteson, called him a "fascist bastard" and refused to let him finish his speech during a public speaking class last November, weeks after California voters approved Proposition 8 banning gay marriage.
Lopez also said the teacher threatened to have him expelled when he complained to college authorities.
Hmm... wonder who's the real fascist now?
"He was expressing his faith during an open-ended assignment, but when the professor disagreed with some minor things he mentioned, the professor shut him down," Hacker said. "Basically, colleges and universities should give Christian students the same rights to free expression as other students."
Odd that the professor, a "fascist bastard" himself, would call his victim a "fascist bastard"... but, hey, what do you expect from a Hard-Left professor?
The professor probably took it personally, too... and can't handle the fact that not everyone agrees with what's probably his own personal ideology... how do people like this get to be professors? How can such biased, fascist asses possibly be good teachers?
Anyway, the Alliance Defence Fund has come to the aid of the student, standing up for his civil rights... the opposite of what the reprehensible ACLU does to folks like him...
