Anthem-Nixing Leftist Principal Calls Canadians "Hysterical", Denies Responsibility

Erik Millett, the Che Guevara-worshipping Hard-Left NB school principal, is back in the news again.

Millett told CBC News that his decision to stop the daily singing of the anthem, instead reducing it to being played monthly at a schoolwide assembly, was blown out of context. He also said it raises different views on what it means to be patriotic.

Blown out of context? Different views? Sounds to me like a typical Leftist reaction, a cavalier dismissal of inconvenient reality. The guy doesn't understand how important O Canada is to Canadians. Probably doesn't care, if he, on the other hand, does realize that it's important to most Canadians. He's the kind who would unilaterally make changes affecting others without consulting them and getting consent. He tried to be a dictator, tried to quietly impose his worldview upon others based on what he claims was "a couple of complaints". Fortunately, he didn't get away with it.

"There are many ways to demonstrate one's patriotism or one's love for a country," he said. "The anthem is one, flying a flag is another, volunteering in your community is another. I would argue that teachers and staff at my school, caring for children to make sure they don't go hungry or don't go cold or have all they need to learn, that is being patriotic.

He's just raising diversions. He wants to frame the issue to suit his own extremist agenda. Not falling for it. Still, astonishing that he persists. Probably thinks he's some kind of hot shee-it. Oh, I'm sure he is... for the Hard Left. Besides, any fool could say anything is patriotic. For example, barbecuing could be said to be patriotic. Hunting moose could be considered patriotic. Hell, it's even possible to say that going to the bathroom is patriotic. Idiot. Who is he to tell us what we can and can't do to express our patriotism? What is he, one of those Liberal Fascists or a Liberal Fascist wannabe?

"I think really it has nothing to do with the decision that my staff and I arrived at. It has everything to do with one person having a very driven agenda and misrepresenting what the school did in the media and the media reproducing the myth, that mythology to a point that people in this country were whipped into a hysteria."

He denies that his nixing O Canada was the issue? Ah, again the proof that Leftism is a mental disorder: denial, delusion, etc... Oh, look... he blames "one person" without naming the person, plus the media. He calls the whole thing a "myth", "mythology". And worst, he calls Canadians "hysterical". What a frigging asshole. Does this guy hate Canada and Canadians so much he believes he must go onto a one-man jihad to socially reengineer it? Scary! What a nutcase!

Millett said he made the decision after receiving complaints from two parents who objected to the daily ritual for piping in the anthem over the public address system for religious reasons. The principal said he would not comment further on the religion of the parents, saying it was private.

Oh, come on, Erik. You wouldn't be violating any privacy as long as you don't name the parents you allege issued complaints. You certainly can tell us their religion, if they exist, that is. Or are you refusing because there was never any complaints and you decided to just end the daily O Canada just because it suits your extreme ideology?

Did the principal fabricate the story about two parents who complained so as to hide a hidden agenda on his part? What is he, a fascistic atheist hellbent on taking God away from everyone who believes in Him? Well, one can judge for oneself. He (Millett) would.

Dumbass. Arrogant little soul-patched-chinned moonbat cretin with an extraordinarily large ego.

The CBC could've dug a little deeper. Didn't they try to get him to identify the "one person" he blames? Oh, wait... the guy's a Leftist.... and the CBC's Leftist. Maybe the CBC agrees with what he did? Why else go so easy on the guy? The CBC doesn't go so easy on conservatives who stand up for Canada's heritage and traditions against the relentless tide of Hard-Left political correctness extremism such as that practiced by Principal Millett.
