Via The Dew Line
Actually, the laser cannon won't just be airborne. There'll very soon be a Boeing-Oshkosh vehicle carrying the laser. Makes the Scud launcher look like a Medieval catapult.
Speaking of Dew Lines, below is one of my favorite pix from inside a tent at Cambridge Bay, 1958, basically the very beginning of NORAD... my Dad's the guy on the right, ex-Coast Guard, ex-Air Force at the time. Boy, weren't those the days, eh? The Fifties. Cold War. Watching out for Evil Empire Tu-95 Bears (the bastards still come close today and require better-safe-than-sorry interception!)...
Kind of looks like a scene from MASH, doesn't it?
Below: At the CAM-3 Substation. Dad's on the right again.

A Lemon Hart man; good taste.
Yep. I actually went looking for that rum at the NBLC store, found it and now like it.
It really ought to become a TV series. A Canadian one, too...
Can't help but think about that...
