Arrayed around a long mahogany table in the White House state dining room last week, the CEOs of the most powerful financial institutions in the world offered several explanations for paying high salaries to their employees – and, by extension, to themselves.
“These are complicated companies,” one CEO said. Offered another: “We’re competing for talent on an international market.”
But President Barack Obama wasn’t in a mood to hear them out. He stopped the conversation, and offered a blunt reminder of the public’s reaction to such explanations. “Be careful how you make those statements, gentlemen. The public isn’t buying that.”
“My administration,” the president added, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”
Obama: Talk to the hand, peasant!
Pitchforks? Is Obama threatening the Banking industry CEOs? First he sacks the GM head, now he's threatening the bankers with pitchfork-wielding mobs if they don't do as he orders!
I believe Obama must've been referring to his Brownshirt force... I'm sure he was kidding about the pitchforks. His Brownshirters use more sophisticated tactics than the Brownshirts of the olden days, you know. No more pitchforks. No more of Ernst Roehm's thugs' bloodlustful behavior. Oh, no. The intimidation is more psychological now.
Can you believe the audacity of this guy? The arrogance? The astonishing, delusional condescension?
WTF is this guy Obama doing? Does he know what he's doing?
Damn. Another day, another scary thing Obama says/does. More and more he reminds one of another national socialist named Adolf...
He won't listen to reason. Not interested. Not interested in the other person's point of view. The only p.o.v. that matters to him is his own (or those of his puppetmasters... like George Soros).
He's closed-minded. Cuts people off and makes declarations in a tone which indicates to folks that he'll tolerate no dissent.
Definitely a "Progressive" Liberal Leftist. A Communist. This is how they operate.
Such folks as Obama... they're deluded into believing that they're always right and that anyone who disagrees is necessarily flawed somehow as well as being wrong.
Well, here's the current President of the United States. He's intolerant of others' views, isn't interested in them at all, because it's just another inconvenience threatening to slow him down in his fast-and-furious race to turn America into whatever socialist utopia model his Communist mentors programmed into his mind as a youth whilst he was badly-buzzed-out on pot and quite inebriated...
Will this guy stop at nothing to get what he wants? How far will he go? Has he no limits?
