Canada's top soldier says an Afghan governor accused of personally torturing prisoners has done some "phenomenal work" and that allegations against him have yet to be proven as fact.
Hope the Leftists are listening this time. They've been listening so far when they found what he said to be convenient to their agenda. Will the Leftists still have an open mind now?
"Allegations are just that -- allegations obviously," Hillier told reporters.
Too bad the reporters seem to forget that allegations are only allegations and then proceed to make a big, incessant stink over allegations as if they were damning, proven facts.
Hillier also commented Friday on Canada's role in Kandahar. He said that Canadian soldiers cannot stay in the province and be expected to avoid combat.
"Certainly if you're in Kandahar you're going to be in combat operations,'' Hillier told reporters after delivering a speech at an Arctic conference.
"If you're there, you're going to be in the middle of a firefight some way or another.''
What the Liberals and the other Leftists Opposition parties need to understand is that if you're where there are hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of insane madmen who only aim to kill you as well as any other inconvenient human being, you're going to have to fight back, ie. engage in COMBAT. But the Liberals and other Leftists don't want to accept the world the way it actually works and delusionally claim that it's entirely possible to simply have construction workers build stuff and so on, assuming that the Taliban won't blow up the new schools, hospitals, government buildings and won't attack anyone at all.
So, there you have it: The man who knows what's what about the world, and certainly what it's like in Afghanistan, is telling us all that if we're going to engage in reconstruction efforts, we NEED TO ALSO ENGAGE IN COMBAT. WITH SUFFICIENT (AND MORE) TROOPS, NOT WITH FEWER!
STAY THE COURSE IN AFGHANISTAN! GO AFTER THE TALIBAN HARDER, FASTER, AND WITH MORE SOLDIERS AND WEAPONS! FROM MORE NATO COUNTRIES (AND WHY NOT NON-NATO COUNTRIES, TOO?!)
IT WOULD BE WRONG, IMMORAL, HATEFUL TO LEAVE BEFORE THE TALIBAN IS DEFEATED AND AFGHANISTAN CAN TAKE CARE OF HERSELF, SECURE, ALONE AND REBUILT.
Of course, Leftists don't want to do the right thing. They just want to get elected by telling certain voters what they want to hear. That's wrong, immoral, hateful. Yes, I'm saying that the Leftists are hateful towards the innocent Afghan Arab Muslims. Leftists obviously hate Afghans, Arabs and Muslims, as we can see by their demands to leave these vulnerable people to the mercy (or lack thereof) of the horrenously monstrous Taliban!
