Marginalized Action Dinosaur has an excellent post up now, about Warren Kinsella's trying to scare the hell out of him (in addition to many other bloggers making fair comment) for his fair commentary in response to Warren's positions on certain things.
Geez... Warren can say reprehensible, nasty, hateful things about folks like Stockwell Day and George Bush, but when bloggers express their concerns about Warren's positions on important issues in a hard-hitting (but NOT defamatory) manner, Warren, from what I'm told by other bloggers, reflexively goes out of his way to sue or threaten to sue them, demanding personal information as to where he can send his notice of action. Must be hard to sue someone whose identity is a mystery. I imagine one could actually find out who a blogger is if a judge issued a warrant, based on clear evidence that defamation took place on the blog, for information on the ID of the blogger. Since Warren, however, apparently has to demand this ID himself, I presume he knows that the communication that irritates him isn't actionable at all, so he tries to scare folks into removing the communication he doesn't like.
At least he does this stuff in a legal (I assume it's legal to threaten to sue folks when one must obviously, being a lawyer, know that he hasn't a prayer of winning) manner, as opposed to chasing after bloggers with a baseball bat or something... gotta hand it to old Warren for being civilized, eh?
I wonder if, when Warren was in grade school, he was a bully? Did he go around picking fights with people who expressed inconvenient, based-on-what-Warren-says, opinions or ask legitimate questions about him? Did he go around saying to little kids, "You, me. Outside. After school"?
Hey, if it's ok for lots of Leftists, including MSM reporters, to go around opining that the Prime Minister's a "bully" for being a shrewd politician, then surely it must be equally acceptable to openly wonder whether Warren Kinsella is one, too, and whether it goes back to his childhood. I mean, I've dealt with bullies myself, so...
