I reject the protestations of the proponents of the ideology it represents.
Why?
I'll tell y'all why. What if Christians wanted the Town Hall to fly a flag with the Cross on it? What if the request was rejected?
Well, then, Christians would feel the same way as do the rainbow flag people.
But guess what? This happens to Christians all the time, too. We are persecuted, silenced. We don't have a Cross flying over our Town Halls, either! And we actually accept it, believe it or not!
We don't even get a "pride parade" or a "Christian Pride Week", either. The rainbow flag folks do.
So excuse me if my heart doesn't bleed for a special interest group who whines that they cannot force the state to do whatever they want them to do.
Just, please, live your lives as you want... at home. I don't care what you do at home. Please, however, stop shoving the whole thing in my face every time I open my eyes. It's already all over the place; no avoiding it. So forget about imposing your agenda via a big flag at Town Hall. Most people don't want their government to fly special-interest flags on their premises. For if you get this favoritism, pretty soon we'll see the "Palestinian" or even Hezbollah flag flying over Town Halls everywhere... all it takes is for some radically militant liberal-progressive judge to deem that they can fly their flags over government buildings over the objections of the majority of the people who pay for the government!
Count your blessings. You don't live in someplace like Iran or Saudi Arabia, after all, where you folks wouldn't even be allowed to live, if you were even suspected of being what they're murderously intolerant of over there.
You're doing just fine here. Be thankful.
We Christians? We're doing less fine than you these days, so please have a little respect for those of us who are persecuted (you are not; we are!)
