Should be interesting. I predict that it'll be, perhaps not over the short run, a lesson to dhimmis and useful idiots that the Taliban simply doesn't want peace, that peace isn't in the existential electrons of the Taliban, that the Taliban exists only to oppress, tyrannize, overrule...
I predict that the Taliban will say, "ok", with conditions.
Kind of like the "Palestinians". But no matter what the Taliban do, it won't stop the killing by Taliban illegal combatants, just as peace talks and ceasefires don't stop the "Palestinians" from attacking Israel and murdering innocent Israelis, ever, nor will giving up Judea and Samaria, which were already offered by Ehud Barak to the "Palestinians", who, in response, declined, and launched the "Intifada". Today we can expect another Barak, this time an Obama, to offer the same to the same folks and get the same result. Cue the violins of attempted education-in-reality of the mentally-disordered dhimmi useful idiots.
Don't forget, Islamosupremacistic fascists use "talks" of whatever sort as a stalling tactic to attempt to grind down their counterparts over the long term. Illegitimi carbonundum, y'know... don't let 'em...
Think there might be "peace"? Trust me; there won't. Not because I don't want peace, but rather because the Taliban and the whole Islamosupremacist world community doesn't, for they want total supremacy of Islam throughout the world and nothing else. Like the Nazis wanted total supremacy of the Aryans worldwide, at least ultimately, eventually eradicating their Islamic Axis allies (the Muslim Brotherhood, via Grand Mufti al-Husseini) despite fighting in the very same forces, shoulder to shoulder against the Allies.
And count on Barack Obama to be a latter-day Neville Chamberlain. See:
Yep. Audacity. Hope. Change. Peace in our time. Sure. Bring it on, Barry-O!
