Emphasis mine.
Cystic fibrosis, which is the most common genetic fatal disease in young people in Canada, affects just as many young girls as boys, Morrison added.
It is a chronic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. Only about half of patients live into their thirties and beyond.
According to Bergamini, the motion read that orientation week strives to be inclusive and volunteers should feel like their fundraising efforts are serving a diverse community.
However, the motion went on to say that "and whereas cystic fibrosis has been recently revealed to only affect white people and primarily men, be it resolved that: CUSA discontinue its support of this campaign."
My, but how logical, eh? Discriminate against sufferers of a debilitating, deadly disease just because they're "white", and they'll therefore be promoting "diversity" as a result of this discrimination?
I see. Dumbasses. What is happening to these students at Carleton University that causes such stupidity, such mental disorder? Are they being brainwashed, discouraged from thinking for themselves, what?
Well, I needn't say much more. I think the title of this post is sufficient punishment for those, ah, what shall we call them? Oh, right... haters! Those who voted to stop raising funds to fight a disease just because it's a disease supposedly only affecting "white" people are guilty of racism and have tarnished the image of their university as racist as well.
Political correctness, you see, is a socially-facilitated and -acquired mental disorder which includes hatred of certain groups based on race, gender and so on. It's a "progressive" thing, you know. Progressive in terms of mental and social decline, that is.
But let us not raise funds to fight the mental disorder of political correctness, for it's a disease that predominantly afflicts leftists. After all, we want to promote diversity, and fighting a disease afflicting mostly only leftists would tend to militate against this goal.... right?
