Canada's Groundreaking Avro Arrow Interceptor To Be Restored

Story here.

A full-scale model. Why not? Perfect for Canada's 100th anniversary as a country of air flight.

That was, believe it or not, in 1958. Perhaps you recognize some design cues in it which remind you of the best air superiority fighters/interceptors in service today.

It particularly, from some angles, reminds me of some Dassault Mirages, some MiGs (particularly the MiG-25 and untouchable MiG-31), and even the brand-new, state-of-the-art EuroFighter 2000 Typhoon.

It was obviously so great, so revolutionary, that it was widely copied, more or less.

Canada did it.

Canada can do it again.

What are we waiting for?

Let's fly!
