Global Warming 'Uncertain, Alarmist': Fraser Institute

Story here. h/t: National Newswatch

I'll take the Fraser Institute more seriously than the thoroughly-disgraced United Nations any day, thank you very much.

The leftist moonbats can say whatever they want about the Fraser Institute. I don't care. Anyone who thinks the UN is credible or has any integrity is in no position to dismiss the Fraser Institute, which has a record of credibility for its sober, conservative thought, as opposed to the United Nations, who cannot see the evil emanating from the so-called "Palestine", who sees Israel as bad and undeserving of existence, who will not lift a finger to prevent Iran's Ahmadinejad from proving himself a Muslim nuclear Hitler. Now the UN is playing Chicken Little and demanding that the Free World cough up billions and billions of taxpayer dollars and throw them into the direction of whatever leftist Chicken Littles demand it, else they'll campaign against whatever government dares to use its head in approaching environmental issues. Basically, the left wants to have this big scam to get rich quick while knowing full well that man cannot influence the weather, nor the climate.

Excerpts (emphasis mine):

London, UK - An independent review of the latest United Nations report on climate change shows that the scientific evidence about global warming remains uncertain and provides no basis for alarmism.

In 2006, independent research organization The Fraser Institute convened a panel of 10 internationally-recognized experts to read the UN International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) draft report and produce an Independent Summary for Policymakers. The result, released today, is a detailed and thorough overview of the state of the science. This independent summary has been reviewed by more than 50 scientists around the world and their views on its balance and reliability are tabulated for readers.

(...)

“The debate around climate change has become highly politicized and alarmist. So we asked a team of highly qualified scientists to look at the IPCC report and produce a summary that they felt communicates the real state of knowledge. Our intent with this document is to allow people to see for themselves what is known and what remains highly uncertain within climate change science.”
