Story here.
Police stopped Moussa Bitar, 27, at 2 a.m. for suspicion of drunk driving and then took him into custody on unrelated charges, officials said.
When asked to provide identification, police said, Bitar produced papers that listed the name of a dead man. Police were later able to determine his true identity and learned of his listing on the terrorist watch list.
Hmm... drunk driving. I recall from a documentary on 9/11 that Mohammed Atta, the 9/11 ringleader, drank prior to 9/11. So the drinking, while unIslamic, isn't inconsistent with a person plotting to commit jihad. Perhaps future Shaheeds are permitted to do some unIslamic things...
Why would someone on a terrorist watch list have false documentation based on the identity of a deceased person? This is consistent with jihadist behavior. And Bitar had such false documentation.
I hope the authorities don't just let him go on fear of public relations or legal retaliation from the terrorism-supporting CAIR or something. They must investigate him thoroughly for any evidence of a jihad plot. If they don't, then they're merely deliberately ignoring the lessons of 9/11. And I fear that they are.
Investigation by the Northeast Intelligence Network determined that BITAR has a current address in Denver, but also maintains a current address in Dearborn, Michigan, along with a listing of historical addresses dating back to at least 1997 in the greater Dearborn, Michigan area.
Michigan... seems a fascinating number of jihadists come out of Michigan. Coincidence? Well, better check this guy out thoroughly. National security depends on it. Besides, if we let him go, and he goes on to lead or participate in a major terrorist attack inside of the US, we know full well that the Democrats, the left and the MSM will again point the finger of blame at the current administration for letting him go. Even though we also know that the same people right now don't want us to even have him in custody and don't even want us to keep an eye on him... a civil rights thing, we know... dang, but the left can't make up its mind... if it even has one. Prevent terrorism the only way we can... or just let it happen, 'cause obvious would-be jihadists have civil rights, too, and it shouldn't be assumed that they might mean us harm... therefore we better let 'em go to carry on with whatever they have planned...
It's insane. I'm losing confidence with the state's determination to prevent terrorism. They seem to let would-be jihadists go almost immediately despite evidence leading to probable cause for detention for the purpose of national security. I can only hope they let 'em go so as to tail them, hopefully to have 'em lead the counterterror agents to a sleeper cell or something...
