LIMBAUGH TARGETED BY CUSTOMS FOR HIS POLITICAL ORIENTATION?

BUMPED TO TOP WITH UPDATE

Popular conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh relates his shocking airport customs experience here. h/t: NealeNews.com

"There's an inbound list [of private passengers] and they know who's coming in that day. It's required by law. So, somebody in there knew I was coming in and from what I was told from people that were there during the time that I was there, mine was the only luggage that was searched. In fact they didn't search the luggage, they just searched my briefcase and the little white bag and they made me open my computer.

(...)

"She pulls out this bottle and says with 25 people in the room, 'What have we here?! Viagra!' she shouts. 'And look, it's not your name on the bottle! This is a crime! This is a violation of law!' She's shouting this all over the Customs Office, and the whole room has come to a dead stop."

Limbaugh says it wasn't until the case was turned over to the Palm Beach County sheriff's office that he was able to finally leave the airport, noting, "What happened is that somebody, and I assume it's at Customs, leaked this. How else is this discovered? ... I think this was leaked before I got out of there. It was in the news before I actually was in the car on the way home."

It looks to me that Mr. Limbaugh was singled out on the basis of his political orientation as a conservative, which, when I last checked, is something protected by the U.S. Constitution.

It certainly looks as if certain Customs agents deliberately singled out Mr. Limbaugh for "special treatment".

Now... imagine the shit hitting the fan all over the world if a Muslim traveller was treated in this manner! The left and the MSM would be screeching "racial profiling". The President would be forced to apologize or something.

Is it ok to discriminate against people for having and expressing conservative political opinions? I say it's not!

The overzealous Customs agent(s) should be fired for such unwarranted "special" treatment.

I wonder what, if anything, the ACLU has to say? Probably nothing... they're probably too busy looking for more Ten Commandments tablets, crosses and pictures of Jesus to sue to have taken away... they couldn't be bothered to actually come to the aid of an American citizen who had his civil rights violated.

What does "ACLU" stand for again?

UPDATE:

From the comments thread, read the following exchange between a leftist and myself and you'll see that leftists are indeed hoping that an innocent man has been bad... just because they don't like him, as he's a conservative exercising his civil right to express his opinion... and he's wildly popular, on a $300 million, ten-year radio contract. Leftists are blindly biased, as you can see.

The commentary exchange between "SB" and myself (note that SB offers no evidence to back up his accusations, while I provide evidence proving Mr. Limbaugh has been proven to be innocent according to the law and according to the facts of the matter):

Please...utterly ridiculous. First of Palm Springs isn't exactly a hopping airport, it could have been that they didn't have much of anything else to do. Secondly, anyone else in the terminal could have called the press: porters, airline personnel, another passenger. Thirdly, the manner in which Mr. Limbaugh was carrying the medication was contrary to law. He broke the law!!! An investigation proved that he wouldn't go to jail, but he is some kind of idiot for carrying his medicine like that.

My response:

(...)No. Your statements are false. You only want to believe this.

"Strumwasser told authorities he "agreed to have his name on the label in an effort to avoid potentially embarrassing publicity for the suspect," according to the state attorney's office filing. "Thus, the medication contained in the subject pill bottle was legitimately prescribed to the suspect by his physician."It is generally not illegal under Florida law for a physician to prescribe medication in a third party's name if all parties are aware and the doctor documents it correctly, Edmondson said."

"the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office said Limbaugh's psychiatrist had agreed to have his name placed on the Viagra bottle, rather than that of his patient, "in an effort to avoid potentially embarrassing publicity.

"Much more:http://ca.search.yahoo.com/searc...t&tab=&ei=UTF-8

So stop being a rabid, brainless anticonservative partisan moonbat and leave the man alone. He did NOTHING WRONG! You're violating his civil rights by attacking a man proven innocent under the law!Go attack the jihadists instead, for they're your real enemy!See, folks... this is how leftists are. You have your proof right here!

Besides, I didn't know that it was illegal to carry your prescription in a piece of luggage. As a matter of true fact, my father carries his asthma medication in a little black bag, which isn't too different from a briefcase, in which Mr. Limbaugh's prescription was. People carry their legally-prescribed medication however they wish. I think it'd be bizarre if there was a law against having one's prescription inside one's luggage/briefcase. Where the feck are we supposed to put the bottle? In our back pocket? Up our ass?

I'd like to see What SB has to say to that! Will SB cite a law specifying the precise manner in which all citizens are required by law to have their legally-prescribed medication on their person? Does it necessarily have to be in one's pocket? Does one have to tape the fecking thing to one's forehead to prove they have no intent of using the pill bottle or aspirator or insulin needle as a weapon?

SHEESH! FOFECKSAKE! LEFTISTS!

Again, the left exposes itself...
