... According to Liberal Sheila Copps.
According to Elections Canada, in their last annual filing, the Liberal Party of Canada was $34,818,257.32 in debt, by way of 13 bank loans.
But the Liberals won't admit it now. Why? To try to fool Canadians who don't already know the truth into thinking that the LPC is doing all right financially?
For Your Information.
Remember that.
And think of how they came to owe so much so quickly.
If they'd do it to themselves, what's stopping them from doing it to Canada's finances, should they ever come to power again (scary thought, isn't it?)?
No wonder the Liberals are demonstrating such sheer desperation these days.
I say it's time to put the Liberal Party of Canada to rest and let a new party or parties take its place. That would be a natural, beneficial happenstance. After all, look at what happened to the old Progressive Conservative Party: it shattered into pieces and came back together again in a new entity: the Conservative Party of Canada, which governs currently and is, according to more than 40% of Canadians, doing a good job as government.
As currently constituted, the LPC is incapable of building a governing alternative ever again... it's too thoruoghly disgraced as is. No potential leader worthy of taking on Prime Minister Stephen Harper will touch the LPC leadership contest with a ten-foot pole. That speaks very loudly as to the worth of the LPC today and in the future.
The Liebrano$$$ are just making fools of themselves. No wonder they're having such great trouble raising donations. Who in their right mind would give money to them?
They just don't know when to quit!
