I find it manipulative, giving a greater voice to the Islamic World than to folks who understand and speak the truth about Islam. Why didn't they call up Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch , expert on Islam and author of a politically incorrect but well-researched book about Islam and the crusades? Why didn't they ask him for his expert opinion as to whether the Pope's citing of the Koran was accurate?
Jihad Watch has a post indicating MSM manipulation of a quotation from the Pope's spokesman in which the word "upset" is changed to "sorry". Oh, yeah, the MSM is scrupulous and accurate!
Why didn't they call up Islam expert Ali Sinha of Faith Freedom International to get his take?
Why just report what angry Muslims said? And why not note for the benefit of impressionable readers that the Muslims aren't denying that Mohammed deemed that Islam would be spread via force? Interesting. (At least the CNN is so scrupulously careful to let readers draw for themselves the conclusion that the Muslims are actually angry that the Pope has spoken the truth about Islam).
I note also that the CNN mentions what the Muslim Brotherhood says, without cautioning readers as to the horrible truth about that ultra-fundamentalist Islamic organization. Here's a bit of information about the Brotherhood:
Throughout its history, the group has sought to infiltrate educational, social, political, and military realms, and has had mixed success in its endeavor, occasionally seeing its members reach high standing political offices, only to be banned upon revelation of the group's radical and violent ways. The Muslim Brotherhood is said to be the principal organization from which such terrorist groups as Hamas, Gama'a al-Islamiya, and al- Jihad were established. The Brotherhood's current spiritual leader is the hateful Sheikh Yousef al-Qaradhawi.
I note also that the CNN report cited a New York Times editorial critical of the Pope. What else is new? Everyone knows that the NYT is Dhimmi.
Oh, wait... I just noticed that it isn't a CNN piece... it's an "AP" piece. Therefore, the CNN wasn't doing much of a job in posting this report... it appears the CNN merely imitated us bloggers and put up the same stuff it found from some other source, as did Yahoo/Reuters. And this is the MSM, with all its resources... and this is how scrupulous they're being, how painstaking they're being. Oh, yeah, they're lots better than The Canadian Sentinel! And all other bloggers! Oh, yeah!
My criticism nevertheless stands: this reporting is typical MSM manipulative, biased reporting, apparently either badly or not-at-all researched. Hell, there might be a hidden agenda there somewhere...
Wonder if my prolific liberal commentor "Balbulican" will have similar criticisms to make of this CNN piece?
I'm sure he'll find something wrong with my post... again. Oh, to be an imperfect mortal...
