Young Conservative blogger Em has written an excellent piece explaining the nature of the Liberal and Conservative species living within the area known as "Canada".
Em, though not even twenty yet, understands the nature of the political species quite well.

The two species are natural enemies. The overly aggressive Liberals often start battle with the Conservatives, attacking them at random. The Tories stand their ground, winning at times, losing at others. A smart breed, the Western animals are able to learn from their loss and become a superior animal. Recently, Tories have begun reducing the population of Liberals in the East. It is thought that they are trying to purify the land. No doubt the Liberals will fight tooth and claw, using their talent of spewing things out of their mouths to protect themselves. Studies show however, that the time for the species is short, and unless they adapt, they will son be extinct.
