Nothing new about Canada's exercise of sovereignty in the Arctic. But it must continue in order to send the message to the world that our land is ours, period.
I take pride in knowing that my father and one of my brothers have been part of this exercising of sovereignty in the North, first in the Fifties and then in the late Eighties.
It's serious business up there, and the environment quite hostile. Kind of like being on Mars, one may think, except you can breathe the air.
Gives real meaning to the phrase, "Stand on guard for thee".
