Responding officers found 13 copied licenses, all of which appeared to belong to customers from the Vanderbilt YMCA on East 47th Street in Manhattan, where Khaleel worked briefly as an unarmed security guard.
They also found news clippings about al Qaeda, literature on chemical purchasing and processing, an owner's manual for a Beretta handgun, a reference guide for modern airplanes, a video on rifle-shooting fundamentals and a sniper's manual.
Cops also uncovered lab glassware catalogs and a book, "Hostile Planet: The Essential Guide to Surviving Natural Disasters, Pandemics and Terrorist Attacks."
Interesting character, that Hisham Khaleel. He had been a "frequent, if unsuccessful litigant", going around alleging "discrimination" on the basis of his ethnicity. A way of raising funds for terror, perhaps, abusing his host nation's "human rights" processes for financial gain with a view to supporting potential terrorism? Those jihadists, you know, they understand how to abuse the system designed to protect people like him, indicating that they have contempt for human rights, not respect. They apparently don't consider "human rights" to be something real, something sacred. Then again, neither do the Liberal Fascists who claim to "protect" these rights whilst actually violating them. What a team, eh?
If he walks like one and quacks like one... my money'd be on him being one. Sounds a lot like Ahmed Ressam, the would've-been "Millennium Bomber" captured by accident en route to LAX via the Canada-US border prior to 9/11.
The threat of terror attacks isn't gone. It's as present as ever, due to the continuing, active presence of sleeper cells. We might as well consider every day to be equal to 9/10/2001.
At least that may well be one terrorist attack that was (accidentally) prevented. Due to the ineptitude of the jihadist. Thank God that many of them are actually as stupid and careless as the Leftists who pretend there's no threat!
The guy's on the loose, still. Should be considered a threat and must be apprehended. And ultimately deported, if from elsewhere; otherwise jailed for possession of terrorism-related materials with intent to commit. Hey, if the courts can find you "with intent to traffick" just because you're merely in possession of narcotics, then why not...!
Also, if captured, he could be a potential trove of information on our enemy. Of course, the CAIR will come to his aid, automatically, as will the Left and the MSM...
