Shocking, disturbing story here. Warning: at least one part might be too much if you've a queasy stomach.
I'm beginning to think that, while we gave Afghanistan the benefit of the doubt, even sacrificed lives for its People, that, unless we colonize the country as a Western nation and take draconian measures to eradicate the corruption by law and strict enforcement, that there's no point in bothering anymore.
President Karzai already indicated that he doesn't want us to capture Taliban anymore, and he appears willing to "sit down and talk" with them, as they demand they be given positions of authority in the Afghan government, which would be very clearly a reversal of the progress we've made in beating back the Taliban. It'd put Afghanistan back on the slippery slope to re-Talibanization and open the door to the return of Osama bin Laden.
I say, therefore, that we ought to pull out, now that we realize that, despite the terrible price we've paid to try to get rid of the Taliban and Al Qaeda, it's not worth saving Afghanistan after all.
Yes, the attacks of 9/11 are linked to the Taliban. But unless we're willing to wipe them out seriously and take strong measures to also get rid of the age-old tradition of brutal, grievously injurious, sadistic, evil, homo-pedophiliac rape by Afghan military and police, then we ought to go home. We're not even allowed to do or say anything about those sadistic Afghan barbarians who claim to be "the good guys", claim to be "on our side". With "allies" like this...
And if they try anything stupid in the future, let's just destroy Afghanistan by wiping out its government and military, leaving nothing but cave-dwelling jihadists to threaten us.
And if Russia, China, the EU, the UN and the Left in general whine about it, tell them to go to hell.
Apparently there's a lot of un-Islamic activity going on that even Islamists find acceptable. Now, that's corruption!
Yup, that's one for StageLeft to post and screech about. Let them have their mentally-disordered fun!
