A county in Maryland has agreed to halt enforcement of a sign ordinance that was cited when members of a team of pro-lifer protesters were arrested, shackled and strip-searched while expressing their opposition to abortion.

"It is unconstitutional to require small groups of Christians to obtain permits to exercise their First Amendment Rights in a public area like the one involved in this case," ADF Senior Counsel Kevin Theriot said. "Police used this permit requirement as part of their justification for the unacceptable treatment of our clients, who simply desired to share their pro-life message."

Three young female participants – including teenagers – were subjected to two rounds of strip searches after being charged with loitering, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a lawful order, charges which later were dropped.

"This incident paints an ugly picture of the state of religious freedom and free speech in American today," Theriot said at the time. "The state shouldn't prosecute Christians for expressing their beliefs on important social issues, nor deny them their constitutional rights."
Look below; here in Canada: Pro-Islamofascism extremists march in support of the hateful, murderous Hezbollah, which is a banned terrorist organization, in Toronto. They weren't arrested, nor were they stripped naked to have their private places violated. Because they weren't Christians saying they opposed abortion, an opinion not tolerated by the fascist Leftist state apparatus, which orders police to deny certain peaceful groups (Christians who believe in the sanctity of life, unlike Leftists and Islamofascists) of folks their rights when the exercise thereof would likely offend the feelings of certain (hateful-extremist) groups.
And, below; back in America, a pro-Hezbollah rally (note the sign depicting the Hezbollah terrorist leader). They weren't arrested, stripped and sodomized by police officers' fingers, either. Because they weren't Christians expressing unconstitutionally-forbidden-under-Leftist-political-correctness opinions.
Things can be expected to get much worse if Barack Obama becomes President. This is my prediction, and it's my bloody right to say so. He is, after all, staunchly pro-babykilling as well as disturbingly soft on Islamofascism. And, as a Communist, trained by Communist radicals like Alinsky, and as someone who willingly worked with Ayers, a dangerously violent extremist, Obama can be feared as someone who wouldn't hesitate to use the state apparatus to enforce whatever agenda he has in store for America. He is, after all, a radical Leftist, and we know what kind of an agenda is harbored by the radical Left.
And, never forget, we have a right to say so. But Obama will probably take it away. He'd call it "fairness", ironically, like the other Democrats do ("Fairness Doctrine").

The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) and allied attorneys filed a lawsuit yesterday against Harford County, the town of Bel Air, and seven police officers on behalf of pro-life protesters’ Constitutional rights.
(...)without warning, seven patrol cars arrived on the scene and began arresting the pro-life participants without a word. The officers did not inform the people what they were being charged with, nor did they read them their rights. One of the women who was arrested overheard a police radio conversation where an unknown person told the state troopers to make the arrests and they would “figure out later” what charges would be filed.
The pro-life advocates were put in handcuffs and held alongside the heavily trafficked public road for over a half hour. Three young female participants were then subjected to sexually invasive searches—first in a public parking lot and then in a jail restroom with a door partly open. (The lawsuit filed by the ADF said that another inmate who was being held in a separate case had not been subjected to that type of search.)
“The truth of the matter is that our clients were heckled, arrested, imprisoned, shackled, and strip-searched twice for exercising their First Amendment rights,” said Daniel Cox, an attorney who is allied with the ADF. “No excuse exists for how our young clients were treated.”
Two minors in the group were soon released, but the adults were held in jail overnight. Officials put several of the participants in leg irons and denied them permission to call their families until after midnight. The men and women were held in two separate cells, but could hear each other. They spent their time singing Christian hymns together until they were released the next day.
You know, if this sort of thing happened to demonstrative Islamic supremacists holding hateful, supremacistic, imperialistic signs, or atheist, militant, sexual-minority supremacists parading naked shouting anti-Christian slogans, they wouldn't be bothered by police. Because the police have apparently been ordered to leave such folks alone, but not Christians expressing their views, constitutionally, peacefully and unobstructively, obeying all police orders, in fact...
If Barack Obama wins the Presidency, Christians in America will be in danger of further, and worsening persecution. After all, there is significant doubt that Obama is a real Christian, as we've seen by his attending a hateful, racist, anti-American church for two decades, only stopping attendance for political optics. Besides, he's born a Muslim, practiced Islam, and is wildly popular with Islamic supremacists the world over...
