Last June, in the wake of the sensational arrests of 17 terror suspects - many of whom resided in Khan's Toronto-area riding of Mississauga-Streetsville - the MP expressed frustration that some Muslim community leaders had emphasized that Islam was not to blame for the arrests.
Apparently he understands the truth and isn't afraid to speak it.
Khan then offered his services as adviser to Harper, which the prime minister readily accepted.
His controversial position on the arrests led to death threats, via e-mail and telephone, that warned that he would be "taken care of" in either Canada or in Pakistan for being anti-Muslim, a source told The Canadian Press on condition of anonymity.
The source, who has deep roots in the Muslim community, said he fears Khan's defection to the Tories will lead to even more threats against the MP.
"Anti-Muslim"? Hardly. Mr. Khan is a Muslim. But he is also anti-Islamofascism and anti-jihad.
Mr. Khan apparently doesn't fear the Islamofascists. De-facto fatwahs apparently don't faze him.
He not only stands up for Canada, he also stands up to Islamic fascists and jihadists!
I'm very proud to have Mr. Khan inside of the Conservative Party. He is a man of truth and of great courage.
We truly need more and more Muslims like Mr. Khan to help the Free World fight and defeat Islamic fascism and jihad.
The "great" Islamofascist strongman Saddam Hussein has been tried and hanged, after being quickly and totally beaten in a war by the Free World.
The Ethiopian and Somali crusaders defeated the cowardly Islamic jihadists, causing them to flee with their tails between their legs.
