The Liberals, the New Democrats and the Bloc Quebecois have voted 'yes' in Canada's Parliament on a motion demanding that Canada grant permanent residence status to deserters from the United States military.
But, as the motion isn't binding, don't expect the Conservative government to do the wrong thing and reward any limp-wristed pissypants pinko-pansy appeasenik deserters.
Mark my words, no way will amoral, cowardly deserters be granted permanent residency in Canada. Even the snivelly-leftist Liberals, despite voting 'yes', probably wouldn't actually do such a thing, as they realize that the political consequences of doing so would be devastating, as they would be for any governing party.
Besides, Conservatives wouldn't have any of such ludicrousness. We will never dishonor those who put their lives on the line and who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend freedom, democracy and the rule of law as well as their country.
American Forces deserters will have to face the American justice system. We will not grant asylum to those who refuse to stand up for freedom, democracy and the rule of law as well as for their free-world country.
Those who believe in appeasing evil, in not fighting the tyrants of the world... should not join the military in the first place anyway. If one wishes to go and talk to evildoers, then go ahead, pay your plane fare and then you'll see if it'll do any good.
There's no honor in deserting freedom, democracy and the rule of law. There's no honor in deserting the military of a free world country.
