One must ask why, exactly, the Liberals, when in power and with the opportunity to do so, steadfastly refused to launch the inquiry themselves. I found it astonishing. What, if anything, were they hiding? Did they want to keep the public spotlight off of the issue of terrorism, that being one of their weakest spots, something they didn't care to do anything about, cavalierly forcing Canadians to sleepwalk... possibly towards their own 9/11?
Despite the anguished pleas of the families of the victims of the Air India terrorist bombing, the Liberals said no. Why?
