During routine daily maintenance to The New Media Journal website it was observed that the new opinion and news entries published for May 19, 2006 did not appear in any Google News or Google Search Engine query. What was uncovered after Frank Salvato, managing editor, contacted Google News was nothing short of discrimination and censorship and a blatant snub to the First Amendment right to free speech.
(Go to the link and read it all and decide for yourself. The response from Google is there, as are links to the three articles they bizarrely consider to be "hate speech", according to "complaints" they don't identify... I have previously read those articles and never once thought that any court of law in the United States would find their content to constitute "hatred").
The editors at The New Media Journal leave it up to you to make the call. If you believe that we have been unfairly targeted by a “special interest group” that attempts to smother all criticism of radical Islam, if you believe that the spirit of the First Amendment is being trampled, if you believe this is blatant discrimination (...) demand that they cease their politically correct censorship of The New Media Journal.
Oh, dear... I hope I don't get censored by those folks at Google. After all, I, too, write posts critical of Islamic fundamentalism and the killng of innocents that stems therefrom. And Blogger, this blog program, actually belongs to Google.
Perhaps I should consider getting a different blog host, one that I'll have to pay for, but that doesn't act as if it's a Dhimmi slave of serious Islamic fundamentalists.
Perhaps others should also consider switching away from Blogger.
