Socialist New Democrat MP Pat Martin, far left (literally as well as figuratively, plus what's he doing with his hand in his pocket... and what's in his pocket anyway, a banana?), is complaining about Prime Minister Stephen Harper's transportation mode.
The PM rides around on the job inside a big black Chevrolet Tahoe SUV. Mr. Martin says it reminds him too much of U.S. President George Bush, who, coincidentally, rides in a similar vehicle.
Well, at least Mr. Harper doesn't cruise around in a big, black convertible German Maybach from the Thirties, like a certain infamous tyrant from Germany. Imagine the comparison Mr. Martin would make then. Oh, and, I recall that Saddam Hussein rode around in a white, armored Mercedes which threw flames sideways at people...
I wonder what kind of vehicle Darth Vader rode around in? Well, guess what, the moonbat socialist Pat Martin claims to have special knowledge thereof:
"It looks like something Darth Vader would be driving," says Martin. "We've got this gas-guzzling behemoth touring around with the prime minister. It looks tough, it looks quasi-military. Is that the kind of image the prime minister wants to project?"
Is this guy serious? Is he for real? Is he a clown?
What kind of image does Mr. Martin want the Canadian PM to project? What would he suggest Mr. Harper ride around in?
A Volkswagen New Beetle? A Smart ForTwo? A French Citroen 2CV? A Russian Lada?
Mr. Martin, just grow up, ok? It's not as if Mr. Harper personally chose the vehicle type. It's not his job. It's the job of the RCMP. The PM must accept security arrangements as they come, just like the American President. For example, if Canada were under attack and a jihadist was en route to crash into 24 Sussex Drive, the PM would be hauled off the pot, pants around ankles, to safety by an RCMP officer, probably. The safety of the PM is the responsibility of the RCMP, ok? So quit whining about Darth Vader and big black vehicles. Sheesh!
Moonbats, eh? Will the silliness never cease with these funny folks?
