Hell, offer a lot more if they move off-reservation. What better way than that to ultimately end the cycle of poverty and dependence? Give them an incentive to get out and be equal to everyone else, participate fully as equals in all of Canada, to stop being held back and down just because of race/ancestral heritage.

No doubt my recommendation will unhinge the ideologues who think they know what's best for Aboriginals:  Keeping them poor, hopeless, dependent and unequal.  With our money.

The latest tale of a passenger degraded by airport security emerged this weekend when a bladder cancer survivor told how he was recently left humiliated, weeping and drenched in his own urine when officials in Detroit inadvertently broke the seal of his urostomy bag during a pat-down.

 Parents have complained about having to choose between exposing their children to body-scanning radiation or to subject them to being frisked; rape victims have reported feeling traumatized by both the scans and the pat-downs; and a North Carolina flight attendant called it “horrific” when a TSA official ordered her to remove her prosthetic breast during a pat-down.

Civil libertarians argue that both body-scanning and pat-downs violate the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures.

But... since when does Obama give a flying feck about the Constitution?  He's, over and over and over again, ad infinitum, clearly indicated that he does NOT.

Two governmental military experts with extensive experience working with missiles and computer security systems have examined the television video and conclude the mysterious contrail originating some 30 miles off the coast near Los Angeles did not come from a jet – but rather, they say the exhaust and the billowing plume emanated from a single source nozzle of a missile, probably made in China.

They further suggest the missile was fired from a submerged Chinese nuclear submarine off America's coast, and point out that the timing of the alleged Chinese missile shot coincided with an increasing confrontation between the U.S. and China, and was likely meant to send a message to Washington.

Indeed, the Federal Aviation Administration documents that there were no aircraft flying in the area at that time, the night of Nov. 8.

Last week’s sudden cancellation of the campus and community program has unleashed an unexpected firestorm, even prompting reaction from Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz, who called Mr. Gold and the station’s manager last Monday to express disappointment over leaked news of the show’s termination.

City Hall is abuzz, hundreds of listeners have joined a ‘Red River Kills Free Speech on 92.9 Kick FM’ Facebook page, the head of the Winnipeg Police Association is speaking out, and a handful of local blogs say their coverage of the melee has garnered new site-traffic records.

Mr. Gold, born and raised in the city’s tough North End, said the cancellation is “110% a free speech issue,” citing speculation that an editor of the Winnipeg Free Press — a publication that is repeatedly taken to task on his show — leaned on the college’s president to quash the program.

“Ultimately, it comes down to free speech and the college taking marching orders,” said Mr. Gold, who is not a student and who did not receive a salary to train the students and volunteers who cycled through the program over the past four years.

The Liberal leader was in Winnipeg on the weekend campaigning for Winnipeg North candidate Kevin Lamoureux when he accused the Conservatives of fighting dirty by running a Filipino candidate in the riding.

Voters, he said, deserved "a straight-up fight" and not "a bunch of games." He was apparently referring to speculation that the Tories were trying to weaken Mr. Lamoureux's support by running Filipino Julie Javier in a riding that traditionally supports the New Democratic Party and which has a high number of Filipino residents.

Once again, does anyone know what Mr. Ignatieff is talking about? Is he really suggesting that the Conservatives should have fielded a non-Filipino candidate to make it a fair fight for the Liberal contender? Is it his view that Ms. Javier is a fake candidate who has cynically offered her name to spoil Liberal ambitions and ensure an NDP victory?

Mr. Ignatieff's comments were an insult to voters in general and Filipinos in particular. To be fair, it doesn't look like he anticipated the question, but the leader of an institution like the Liberal Party of Canada should be smarter on his feet. In the big leagues, you're only allowed so many stupid mistakes.

I guess Michael Ignatieff must either be stupid... or racist, then... perhaps both, as both do frequently go together...
