Iggy No Better Than Dion

Current Liberal Leader (appointed from the top down) Michael Ignatieff, at right, makes yet another of those weird faces again behind former Liberal Leader (duly elected by Liberal members, unlike Iggy) Stephane Dion, as M. Dion attempts to say something in English (or maybe it was in French, same difference anyway).

Michael Ignatieff took control of the Liberal party with flair, calculation and skill. In his first months he's done the Grits more good than Stephane Dion ever could have hoped to do. Recent polls bear this out.

Problem, for Iggy: That's not saying a lot. Under Dion the Liberal party came near imploding. Now Liberal MPs are no longer desperately bailing to stay afloat. They can breathe. But stabilizing the lifeboat doesn't get you ashore. Can Ignatieff win, any time soon? Increasingly the answer looks like no.

No doubt many Canadians appreciate that the country now has a more effective opposition leader. But Ignatieff and his advisers need to accept and understand this very plain fact: They wrote this year's federal budget. In doing their bidding Prime Minister Harper gave them policy they wanted.

They can't pretend otherwise.

Talking tough therefore just makes Ignatieff look silly, and perhaps a little vain. Meantime, Harper is one big step closer to the broad political centre that is the key to majority power in Canada.

But before you think the Conservatives have simply out-Liberalled the Liberals and abandoned their conservative foundational roots... think again... because, actually, if you consider the extraordinary economic situation in Canada and the world, and consider that Canada under the Harper Conservatives has been the most fiscally conservative, most careful, most reluctant-to-splurge, of all the Free World's governments, while on the other hand the Liberals wanted to join with the wanna-spend-like-crazy-Obama Communist NDP and Bloc separatists to copy the non-Free World in an unwanted-by-Canadians coup... well, it's clear that the Conservatives are still conservative and will return to being the same tight-with-money, deficit-avoiding guys they wanted to be even now but obviously couldn't really.

And don't forget that current Liberal Leader Ignatieff, like his predecessor Dion, signed onto the usurpers' conspiracy agreement, despite claiming to have been opposed thereto. Sorry, Iggypoo, can't have it both ways!

It does seem like Ignatieff, once looking strong and invincible, has had his imaginary forcefield of strength and intelligence fade away already, revealing his actual form as just another of those infinitely-flawed, same-old-same-old Liberals.

No amount of blustering and pretending to be Mr. Tough Guy will save him now, for he's been exposed like Dion.

Obama Unconstitutionally Silences Lobbyists Re 'Stimulus'

Washington (AP) - President Barack Obama says lobbyists pushing for projects in the stimulus package can't utter a word about them to administration officials. Lobbyists are hardly staying mum about this latest affront and are looking for ways to cope with the extraordinary speaking ban.

The restrictions, which began taking effect unevenly this week, have angered lobbyists already upset with Obama's repeated shots at them for wielding too much influence. Critics charge it may be unconstitutional to bar certain people -- registered lobbyists -- from speaking to government officials.

"What disqualifies lobbyists from exercising their First Amendment rights?" said J. Keith Kennedy, a top lobbyist for the Washington firm Baker Donelson.

William Luneburg and Thomas Susman, co-authors of the American Bar Association's manual on lobbying laws, said they knew of no previous administrations curtailing lobbyists' conversations with government officials.

An ex-military officer has raised the stakes in the ongoing dispute over Barack Obama's eligibility to be president, filing a criminal complaint against the "imposter" with the U.S. attorney's office for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

In his complaint addressed to Obama via U.S Attorney Russell Dedrick and Assistant U.S. Attorney Edward Schmutzer, Eastern District, Tennessee, Fitzpatrick wrote: "I have observed and extensively recorded invidious attacks by military-political aristocrats against the Constitution for twenty years.

"Now you have broken in and entered the White House by force of contrivance, concealment, conceit, dissembling, and deceit. Posing as an impostor president and commander in chief you have stripped civilian command and control over the military establishment."

He cited the deployment of "U.S. Army active duty combat troops into the small civilian community of Samson, Ala.," and said, "We come now to this reckoning. I accuse you and your military-political criminal assistants of TREASON. I name you and your military criminal associates as traitors. Your criminal ascension manifests a clear and present danger. You fundamentally changed our form of government. The Constitution no longer works.

"I identify you as a foreign born domestic enemy," he wrote.

Is there any doubt that, if the President was a Republican, like George Bush... that, if folks like, say, Michael Moore, were going around accusing him of being a criminal and worse, the Left and the Big Media would be helping him to do so, making him a celebrity? Eligibility lawyer says Homeland Security shadowing him

A lawyer spearheading the effort in Washington state to bring light to the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility to be president says he was shadowed all day today by officers with the federal Department of Homeland Security, the Snohomish County sheriff's office and the Everitt city police department.

"There's definitely observation," attorney Stephen Pidgeon told WND. "Maybe observation in anticipation of making an arrest."

Pidgeon has been the attorney for Washington state plaintiffs challenging Obama's eligibility to be president under the Constitution's demand for that office to be occupied only by a "natural born" citizen. Dozens of similar cases have been filed around the country since the election and many have been dismissed, often because judges rule the plaintiffs don't have "standing" to bring a complaint.

The Washington state case, however, cites state law that vests in citizens the right to raise questions about an elected official's authority, effectively granting standing to those plaintiffs.

Pidgeon told WND today he contacted his personal defense attorney, and also was in contact with the Alliance Defense Fund, a national organization advocating for civil liberties and religious and personal freedoms.

It's time for all good people of America to take it upon themselves to exercise willing suspension of disbelief and open their minds to questions without rejecting them out of hand like good little obedient nobodies. Unfortunately, to my shock, even prominent conservatives are failing to exercise this willing suspension of disbelief and have fallen ominously silent. One must necessarily wonder why, considering that the questions are clearly legitimate, as no proof of eligibility in the form of a proper birth certificate (and absolutely nothing else but precisely a proper, original birth certificate!) proving for once and for all the President's actual place of birth has been provided by Barack Hussein Obama for the satisfaction of those who want to see it for themselves. All Obama has to do is order the State of Hawaii to release it, but he has not. Why? Is he hiding the shocking truth, that he is foreign and a fraudster who, with the aid of many who ought also to be questioned for their involvement, commited the ultimate con?

It appears that what's happening here is a sort of reverse of the Big Lie tactic, in which the state apparatus calls a legitimate and very serious question "garbage" and does whatever it takes to have the questions silenced, leave Americans in the dark as to the fact that the question is being asked, and intimidate, frustrate and discourage those who ask the questions. There's even been an incident of alleged criminal corruption identified within the justice system. To me, there is apparently an agenda of preventing judges from considering the questions (they always consider, for example, whatever sexual extremists and others favored by the Far Left want them to consider, but isn't it astonishing that they dismiss out of hand any question as to the constitutionality and legality of someone's being in office?)...

After all, we know that millions of Americans actually believed, due to the Big Media's supersaturative coverage, that former President Bush was all kinds of horrible things. We saw those delusional fools fall victim to Big Lies, having exercised their willing suspension of disbelief and opened their minds, though they didn't bother to use their brains at all, perhaps because the opening caused them to fall out or dry up or something.

Today we're facing a hopelessly inept, dictatorial new President who, no doubt, has not qualified under the Constitution's requirements for the Presidency, to be President.

Why won't the courts hear the perfectly legitimate complaints? Are they controlled by Obama or by those who control him?

Why won't the Big Media talk about the complaints that a foreign national has taken over the country and is apparently militating against its interests and the interests of its citizens? Is the Big Media controlled by Obama or by those who control him?

Why is it being denied with firmly-shut-closed minds?

Today's Ottawa Citizen is reporting that Michael Ignatieff's Liberal leadership campaign is inviting supporters to "double their donations to the party by contributing to Ignatieff's leadership campaign at a fundraising dinner next week." The article indicates that donors are being encouraged to circumvent the $1,100 annual donation limit to the Liberal party.

The law is designed to prevent donations over $1,100 to any political party, not to allow powerful insiders to flow an extra donation through a leadership campaign to the party.

These reports raise serious concerns and if accurate, could constitute a violation of the Elections Act. I expect you to make the proper inquiries to ensure compliance with the Elections Act.

So, hot on the heels of his total backdown on his most recent "I'll force an election" bluff just yesterday, Liberal Leader-Perpetually-Unelected Michael Ignatieff is threatening to force an election if the government doesn't bring in yet another "stimulus" deficit spending program on top of the huge one they just brought in!

Iggy clearly wants to copy the totally out-of-control, completely inept Barack Hussein Obama in terms of spending as much money as possible to mortgage Canada's future as much as possible. What, is he trying to destroy Canada via bankruptcy just like his hero Obama?

Iggy claims that the danger is as bad as it could be and even claims he knows that it's likely to be something even worse than a recession.

(Of course, we could very well face something worse than a recession or even a friggin' depression. That's what I've been trying to say ever since I started blogging. For example, we could face an even bigger 9/11. We could face a whole new World War, with nukes this time! So on that point, I'll have to agree with the Professor, but disagree with his ideas of how to spend it, which are too vague, and would instead say we better put those billions into our Armed Forces instead, which would, of bloody course, be as stimulatory as anything else ever could be!)

However, didn't Iggy hear what his like-a-little-girl-gigglingly-beloved crush, the alleged stud-adonis,

Barack said that, actually, the economy has already showed signs of turnaround! If one can believe that (I don't, for I know when I'm being sold prettified, talked-up worthless crap), which I'm sure Iggy must, as he worships Obama, as does his incredibly-still-there attack clown Warren Kinsella, then one can believe that no further stimulus is needed for turnaround. Of course, such a belief requires that one be one of those weak-brained "Progressive" Liberal Leftists.

I note that Iggy is trying to sound smart, sound like he knows something. But I'd suggest that he actually closely study what the budget actually sets forth as specific spending plans.

I also note the richness of his suggestion of increasing post-secondary (university) funding, also remembering that he's a professor who probably wants to grease the palms of his cronies in the ivory towers and so on and so forth, plus increase the ability of those Leftist-dominated, intolerant of free thought, intolerant of free speech brainwashing factories to turn out more socialist zombies like himself and Obama. It's a rich suggestion because the Liberals, while last in power, didn't really do a bloody thing for the post-secondary institutions, merely making it easier for students to pay their way, without directly injecting funding into the institutions themselves. Now that someone else is in control of the spending levers, and there's a recession and a deficit, the Liberals have suddenly found religion on the post-secondary file. Too easy to call for, and too late, to believe in any sincerity on their part.

We don't need more university courses, I can confidently say. What we need to see is for universities to slash their fluff-courses and focus on the hard, non-dogmatic stuff like the sciences and technology, for it's these that will actually make the difference in the economy, not the "liberal arts" programs that just brainwash students with Far-Left lies and historical revisionism, not to mention programming illogical, discriminatory, equality-killing political-correctness fascism into young minds. Been there, resisted that, myself. Lucky to survive without turning into a zombie like Obama and Iggy. So any new money shall only go to hard-fact courses and needed infrastructure improvement, while cutting the crap, shrinking the number of courses required for a degree and shortening the length of time it takes to acquire one. It's too big, fat and inefficient with all the "liberal arts" crap, which even hard-science students are forced to suffer through and pay so dearly for!

I'd suggest that Iggy just quit being an idiot and quit making extravagant demands so quickly, and quit bluffing about forcing an election in the middle of a recession, an election we all know his party can't afford to fight, an election that could very well bankrupt the party, an election in which they oughtn't believe, from current favorable polls, that they could do any better this time around. Besides, just a bunch of weeks ago, the polls had the Conservatives at over 50% popularity, so I'd take the polls with a grain of salt no matter what they say. Plus the Conservatives, as well as the Big Liberal-Positive Media, have been giving Iggy a free ride, so it's no surprise the voters are confused into thinking Iggy's a good leader for some reason they cannot finger. Expect some Conservative inconvenient-truth-about-Iggy ads to come out before too long to totally eclipse the pathetic, pitiful YouTube Liberal anti-Tory videos and the newly-unleashed hardcore-porn website... oh, wait, actually, they named the "On Probation" site without doing their homework... didn't they think that it might be almost the same as, say, a hardcore porno site or even a, say, racist, hate-mongering site? See, these guys are suddenly amateurs who haven't a clue as to what they're doing! And they tell us they could be the government? Well, Americans bought the Big Lie that Obama and the Democrats would be at least competent, but compared to Bush, they're actually the worst administration in American history, and even make Mr. Bean look like a successful political genius...
