And how about that nice, liberal, tolerant, compassionate, progressive Balbulican recommending forced sterilization of the mentally challenged. You know, didn't the Nazis practice that?

D.A. Who Indicted Cheney Is Obviously Nuts, Crooked Himself

Looks like there's something wrong with the District Attorney who went on a jihad against Dick Cheney, successfully having him indicted on charges of supposedly being a bad boy just because he had an investment in something that had allegedly had some bad stuff going on.

He yelled at the judge yesterday, for one thing.

Also, he's crooked himself, making it seem odd that he'd be allowed to indict the Vice-President of the United States (but then again, what else is new in the weird, wacky, brave new "progressive" America where anything goes and nothing's too bizarre, nor insane, inexplicable, unexpected, nor even ominously dangerous):

Guerra lost his bid for re-election in the March primary and will leave office in January. He was indicted last year on charges he extorted money from a bail bond company and used his office for personal business, but the charges were dismissed last month.

He also, on par with Leftist Mental Disorder and that wonderful liberals' culture of entitlism, demanded the judge not order him around and ask him nicely instead:

Guerra first said "I will not obey that order," but then agreed to stay if the judge asked him respectfully.

Cheney and former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales were indicted in connection with privately run federal detention centers in Willacy. In particular, it alleges that Cheney's personal investment in the Vanguard Group, which invests in private prison companies, gives him culpability in alleged prisoner abuse.

Guerra also indicted judges and special prosecutors who played a role in the investigation of him.

I'm not the only one who sees something unusual and inappropriate with what's going on with that unhinged D.A.:

"You can't have district attorneys across the country bringing charges against federal officials," Treece said. And even in a federal probe, Cheney and Gonzales have a "qualified privilege" that would protect them so long as they were acting within their jobs, Treece said.

Given that statement, one cannot help but wonder, then, what the hell is going on.

I'd also suggest taking a closer look at those who successfully witchhunted Conrad Black and had him convicted without evidence (since when is seeing a guy carrying some boxes evidence of a crime, particularly when no one knows what was in the boxes besides Mr. Black?) of any wrongdoing, but were nevertheless somehow able to manipulate the apparently stupid jury into thinking Mr. Black had done something wrong. I followed that case and looked for evidence of wrongdoing but saw none whatsoever. Dammit, can you imagine the Clintons getting prosecuted for the same stuff as Mr. Black and Mr. Cheney? Me neither. Leftist prosecutors and judges, after all, aren't exactly wont to give a hoot about Leftists who have lots of money and do weird stuff. I'm still waiting for the felony case against Hillary Clinton to continue, though... and I have seen and blogged about the evidence of her fraud, as have many others, though, of course, most folks are unaware of it because the Leftist mainstream media has been engaged in a conspiracy of silence on that to protect the distaff Clinton. It's doubly bizarre that they're silent on this big deal, since Spiderman creator Stan Lee is part of the evidence of Hillary's fraud and lying. Dammit, but one would expect such a sensational case to be big news. Certainly it's bigger news than Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and so on... we're talking about someone who ran for the Demmie Nomination and who appears set to be appointed Secretary of State. Does anyone believe that if Sarah Palin had the very same case proceeding against her, involving a celebrity witness, that the MSM wouldn't be all over the whole thing?

Plenty of old stuff is new again lately. Eerily, in some cases, like, for example, "President-Elect" Barack Obama attempting to recreate the Clinton era by appointing ex-Clinton minions to serve under him, no pun intended, if you know what I mean (of course, "President" Obama, that is, IF he proves that he's Constitutionally eligible to be President, by showing us his original birth certificate proving that he was actually physically given birth inside of Hawaii's borders, as he claims, but that's another story, developing as we speak, with the Supreme Court to look into the matter, which is of critical importance, as, if it's discovered later on in an Obama Presidency that he's illegitimate, an usurper, then all laws, treaties, accords, executive orders, etc. that were passed under his administration will be nullified and voided, and this is a frighteningly dangerous potentiality, so Obama's assertion that demands that he should prove his Constitutional eligibility are "garbage" cannot be believed at all, and he should rightly be suspected instead, just as a Republican President-Elect would be, particularly by the Democrats, who then wouldn't think such need to prove is "garbage").

Ok, enough with the politics...

Now back to the subject of the cool cars pictured above... We'll have to brace ourselves for the impending shock that'll make this new 'General Lee' the last of its kind of musclecar, meaning that we may well be seeing the end of the era of the V8 and the advent of the high-output, highly-fuel-efficient V6, I4, hybrids, electrics, more-common turbos, standard direct fuel injection, clean diesels, you name it... Not that there's anything wrong with technological transformation; not at all. After all, you know, I'd note that my car today, a Chevy Cobalt with a 2.2 liter, non-turbo, 16V DOHC four-banger is more powerful and efficient than, say, a 2.2 liter turbo from the early Eighties and more so than quite a few V6s from that era, even some V8s which were choked half to death by emissions equipment. Hell, it's as quick to 60 mph as the '83 Porsche 944...

Automotive technology has come a looooong way in the last, say, twenty years, I've noticed. And I've noticed that hardly anyone has noticed, strangely enough, taking it for granted that cars are way faster and more powerful, plus handle and stop better and get better mileage, than the cars of years past.

Imagine how much further the technology will have come in the next twenty years. Hell, just the next five years will usher in such changes so revolutionary as to not have been seen since the earliest days of the automobile when anything and everything was tried, including even electrics.

Funny how the Great Global Warming-Climate-Change Scam we've been seeing recently will have been the spark of this explosion in automotive technology innovation. At least it'll have transformed the automotive industry for the better, sort of like a forest fire renews a forest. Not to worry; we'll adapt to whatever realities (and Big Lies, too, like the one started by Al Gore!) there are in the world in the future as well as currently. And I see it helping us wean ourselves off imports of Islamist and Russian oil and gas, as dependence on those guys for our energy supply isn't in our interests, economic-/national security-wise, in the first place, obviously, seeing as some Islamic nations would like to see us wiped out or at least Islamized, and Russia is once again behaving like its old Cold War self, threatening us with nukes again and building the Axis Power group's size and strength to try to tower over the Free World, making us cower (and don't forget about Communist China's evil, imperialist agenda)... I hope, however, that we in the Free World don't get stupid this time and delude ourselves into thinking that disarmament, meekness and pacifism in the face of malevolent evil will this time around somehow soothe/appease the evildoers of the Axis... I hope we're not latter-day Chamberlains.

See? Abolish the HRCs. After all, this is just ONE of the HRCs' numerous crimes against the rights of Canadians. Calling themselves the "Human Rights" Commissions isn't fooling the reasonable person... it's not much different, really, from the Saudi Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, which means nothing other than if you're deemed to have said or done something "un-Islamic", you'll be summarily found guilty and sentenced (sometimes to be beheaded) regardless of evidence, and in the absence of any civil rights whatsoever.

While in Saudi Arabia, there are no human rights, and it shows in the way people get treated by the state apparatus there, in Canada, we have supposedly inviolable, sacred rights, but looking at the way the "Human Rights" Commissions operate, one would never have guessed, for there's nothing but discrimination, against some, and in favor of others, and certain rights are irrelevant and of no value to the Commissioners, such as the right to freedom of expression and the right to a fair trial. The Commissioners will violate your rights if they want, in order to control you and what you can say and do, even if members of different groups aren't thusly violated and controlled by those smiley-faced fascists.

Abolish the HRCs. They discriminate, and they believe they are entitled to discriminate against whomever they arbitrarily deem as being offside with dogmatic, vague, unwritten, mysterious, even imaginary, Hard-Left political correctness doctrine. They'll violate and persecute members of certain groups while they won't do so to members of others, even for the exact same things. This, in Canada, cannot stand. Enough!

Ok, so, legally, they're not responsible, for they didn't know- the guy wasn't registered as a waiting patient for some reason.

But, really, how on earth can healthcare professionals be so oblivious as to what's going on right in front of them? A man, waiting 34 hours, with a kidney ailment, dying in pain...

That's the problem with people today- they don't notice the obvious for some reason. I see this all the time, everywhere- people not noticing obvious stuff that's right before their eyes. It's as if they have some kind of... mental disorder.

Beyond that, the question is begged: Why had no policymakers foreseen the potential of such a situation happening, thus formulating and implementing the policies required to prevent it? Why do people and organizations not have foresight, and only make necessary "changes" after someone dies? Why do people have to die before other people start using their brains?

This is frightening... in the overworked, understaffed, socialist Canadian healthcare system, we have medical professionals not noticing what's going on around them, and we have policymakers/bureaucrats/hospital administrators, etc., etc., not using their brains (or perhaps not being smart enough anyway in the first place... how did they get their jobs; did they know someone who knew someone, like, was it patronage, nepotism, what?), not having plain, fundamental, simple, common-sense foresight... dammit, I would've seen such an obvious potential problem coming and recommended the policies only now being put into place (or so they claim). Oh, yes, I would. It's so fundamental, elementary, obvious common sense... the potential of a dizzy, confused, infected, in-pain and critically-in-need-of-immediate-attention person just coming in and sitting down, somehow, possibly, not realizing he's supposed to report at the admitting desk... so common-sense that it can happen, and will, someday. But I'm also justifiably afraid that my recommendations would be rejected as "...inconvenient, unnecessary; those things don't and won't ever happen- what are you, nuts, delusional, stupid? Besides, see, we have a limited budget, so I decide, not you! Now return to picking flyshit out of pepper with boxing gloves, you unimportant flunky who's supposed to shut up and just do as you're told..."

Stupid, oblivious, brain-dormant people everywhere... Only using their brains after someone dies and when they're in the public spotlight, worried about their own sorry asses...

People just keep on getting stupider and stupider... am I the only one who notices that Western society has been becoming progressively (hey, y'know, Leftists call themselves "progressive") dumber, dumber, less and less aware of reality as it is before their very eyes... How did this happen, and how will we reverse this terrible, somehow-spread/acquired, mass-mental disorder throughout society, including the most important professionals responsible for our very lives?

Legally, there may not be responsibility or consequences, but there is responsibility on the part of everyone to always be sharp-eyed, mentally-alert and aware, possessing common-sense foresight regardless of inconvenience or cost. The consequences? Already passed- a man died right in front of them and they didn't notice. And they're supposed to (ok, not legally, but, still!).

There is a responsibility. It's ethical and moral, if not necessarily legal. It's irrelevant if some emotionally-fragile and mentally-lazy folks will feel that this kind of responsibility is inconvenient and claim that they somehow have a Charter right to not be thusly responsible, and this kind of responsibility must be required and imposed! Yes! Require and impose the imperative to be responsible and use your brain! That's what's important, not political correctness fascism, not that insane, anti-free-speech, watch-what-you-say-so-you-don't-offend-the-feelings-of-any-sensitive-special-interest-wimps nonsense we see today being pushed as most important by the Hard Left fascists.

If you know someone is going to die someday because of the setup of an organization, and your indication of this is rejected or politely dismissed with the convenient, please-shut-up-now lie, "sure, we'll have someone look into it", don't give up. Go over those selfish, unethical, immoral, money-is-more-important-than-anything-else, brain-disordered bullies' heads.
