Well, actually, it seems to have a been a white, Christian right winger who murdered the kids.
Although the suspect in custody is indeed white, anti-immigration and anti-Muslim, everybody with half a brain knows that such views don't lead to violence such as in Norway. There's lots of folks who espouse the same stuff the alleged shooter does and they're not setting bombs or shooting up youth camps. Mental illness, plain and simple, and mental illness doesn't attach to either side of the ideological divide.

I will admit that when I first heard of the bombing and mass shooting, I figured a Muslim jihadist terrorist. How wrong I was. It was a blonde ethnic citizen of Norway, an apparent right wing extremist who hated Muslims. However, if that is the case, I am puzzled why he did not target Muslims. Must have been realy mad at the government, I guess.

I know you will not give too hoots but just for the record, in future, I will not be commenting as long as you hold up things due to moderation.
Took a long time to get my post on line, so I all I can say is that I was just quoting the report by the MSM about the fact that the Muslims were claiming responsibility for bombing when I posted. That was well before the rest of the story came out.
Not that I was surprised by their claims of responsibility, just wondering who and why they would have done that when they clearly hadn't. Just fantasizing about the death and destruction within a Western nation.
Just in case anyone wants to know, Anders Behring Breivik is not a Christian but a fundamental Darwinian, a denier of the existence of God and a hater of Muslims taking over his nation. He is supportive of a strong Christian culture and is strongly supportive of his ancient pagan Nordic culture.
Sounds more along the lines of Jarred Loughner, in a mad rage his total lack of respect for life, goes postal against the people who he believes to be selling the farm down the river to the enemy at the gates.
This man is cut from the same cloth as Loughner. An atheist with a death wish.
