Liberals, after losing the west and central Canada, are now retreating in their Fort Alamos, the urban ridings of Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. But Stephane Dion is no general Houston to lead them back to the victory.

Watching question period these days it's clear they still believe political stunts will bring them back to power. They played the environment card but failed for lack of ideas and a polluted record, then they resorted to mudslinging, playing the corruption card (can you imagine?!), then on to child poverty and the Native issue. No chance.

Now they're back to their original love: The Bloc wants more talk about separation, while the Liberals are back to multiculturalism and immigrants.

Like the desperate battle of Fort Alamo, they are throwing everything at the enemy: They resorted to attacks on Brian Mulroney, then to the Reform Party and even Diefenbaker to keep the votes of the former immigrants of Italian origin.

The article closes by identifying the culture of "entitlement" as the real problem with the Liberal Party of Canada. The Liberals are afflicted with the delusion that they're, for sure, here to stay, that their party is immortal, eternal, can't be killed, that naturally they'll soon be back in power to do whatever they please and take away more of our liberties and money in the name of their own self-enrichment and convenience.

If the Liberals continue to delude themselves into believing that they're God Himself or at least His Greatest Gift To Canada and the World, then they will find it quite hard to find their way out of their dark, dreary wilderness of sheer uselessness as a party, utter irrelevance to Canada and Canadians and oblivion.

The dinosaurs couldn't adapt to changing conditions that were killing them off, hence their extinction. And we see that the Liberal Party hasn't adapted either, falsely secure in their delusion that they're guaranteed an easy ride to victory on the magic carpet of their great brand name, which is already showing signs of weakening.

Mr. Lukiwski has apologized fully and made absolute amends; he has paid the price for his drunken "thought crime" of long ago. He is a good MP. He can do a good job.

People need to accept his apology. There is nothing to be gained by practicing the Liberal Fascist Double Standard and taking away his rights.

Oh, and as for what far-left NDP MP Bill Siksay says, which is,

"I thought it was a sincere apology, but I think we have to wait and hear how folks in the gay community across Canada, the gay community in Saskatchewan and other Canadians who are concerned about dealing with homophobia and issues of equality and tolerance, how they respond to his apology," Mr. Siksay said.

Those words are ominiously frightening, chilling. Mr. Siksay pretends to be nice, but we can decipher his code speech here. He is saying that his special group will deem the punishment for Mr. Lukiwski's "thought crime", nowithstanding his full apology. Whatever punishment that will be will not be just and fair, as we know from the way they treat those they hate for not fully endorsing the specific physical stuff they practice.

I fear that there's going to be a big propaganda movement to crucify Mr. Lukiwski for simply saying stupid, offensive things, privately, at a rowdy, homogeneous drunken party. Notwithstanding that "gays", too, of course, say horrific things about people they hate, namely people who simply don't endorse certain sexual practices, even though they really aren't hurting anyone in refusing to endorse such. No harm, no foul.

What a stroke of good luck, an opportunity for the fascist, extremist fringe of the "gay" movement to further the recommendations of the extremely radical, fascist propaganda book After the Ball.

I seriously doubt that normal gay folks would want to see Mr. Lukiwski crucified for simply having a different point of view, or at least saying stupid stuff, privately, while inebriated. Because gays are human, too, and know full well that they have uttered terrible words about people who are different. They're living in glass houses, and they know it.

And for certain there will be a left-wing conspiracy to use this little ancient drunken offensive blurb to beat up on the Conservative government with brass knuckles, sledgehammers, baseball bats and two by fours with nails in them... by trying to paint the whole party with a broad brush. Well, if this happens, then we can do it to the left: We can then call all "gay" NDP MPs jewel thieves and all Liberal MPs criminals and Islamic fascists. Go ahead. I'm ready to play the game, personally.

Don't do that, Mr. Siksay. Because of the dangerous implications for turnabout in the future. If, for example, you personally are caught on tape saying horrible things about devout Christians, would you hope that a full, unequivocal apology would be accepted and that you wouldn't have to face total life ruination, to have an example made of you and to intimidate people from speaking their minds privately? You don't think that your thoughts can be criminalized, too?

Come on. Live and let live. In an open, free and democratic society, one cannot be persecuted and crucified for one's private thoughts, even if caught on tape. Otherwise, Canada is no better than Communist China or murderously Islamofascist Saudi Arabia. Like hell I'll just submit to this form of fascist mind control and let you transform this free society into a non-free society.

I, therefore, openly, loudly oppose the Liberal Fascism that's being brought onto Mr. Lukiwski and the Conservative governement and, in fact, all Canadians who thought they had an inalienable right to have a different point of view, notwithstanding its degree of stupidity and offensiveness.

If one is wrong, then the wrongness simply need be demonstrated and the wronger exposed as such.

So the Liberal Party (yet again!) tries to demonize Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Conservatives just because someone a long time ago said stupid, offensive things while obviously drunk as a skunk and putting on a show for his partisan party-mates and the camcorder.

Oh, really? Well, your own leader's "tepid" response to Islamic fascists within your very own party, Scotty, also suggests that "hate, prejudice, bigotry are just fine in your (and your leader Stephane Dion's Canada)."

You know, you Liberal hypocrites and hateful bigots... you are living in a big glass house on this issue. To wit:

Big contrast.

So, dear Scotty, I'd watch that infamous, unhinged, ultra-aggressive, malicious partisan attack stuff of yours if I were you. Pot, kettle, all that, my good man.

You have some scary characters in your own party, own caucus yourself.

And I'd love to know how you feel about the position of Muslims who may or may not hate you because you're "gay" and what they may or may not think, stemming from that hatred. How do you know that certain Muslim folks in your party, who have expressed murderous hatred towards Israeli Jews or have allegedly, according to witnesses, uttered supremacistic/imperialistic Islam-related slogans, don't also feel similar hatred towards you for being "gay"? You know what the Koran says about you, don't you? And, you know, a Muslim like Mohammed El Masry, who is on record as inciting murder against an identifiable group just because of who they are, how do you know that he's not also literalist-Islamist with respect to homosexuals?

Perhaps you need perspective, guy. Mr. Lukiwski has apologized unreservedly. He declared that he doesn't think that way at all. Why not accept his apology and declaration of non-intolerance? You assume that Mohammed El Masry, despite being a hateful person due to his faith tenets, isn't hateful towards you as a "gay" person, so why not forgive Mr. Lukiwski? What, are you incapable of forgiveness of anyone who isn't Muslim? You've apparently forgiven El Masry for his bigotry and hatred towards Israeli Jews, so... well? How about Lukiwski, who merely said some offensive stuff whilst apparently drunk as a skunk, with his judgement severely impaired due to intoxication?

Why give some (within your own party) the benefit of the doubt, no matter what, no matter how scary their words/alleged words, but not a man who is obviously genuinely contrite and is begging your kind forgiveness?

What if you needed forgiveness for uttering Christianophobic hatred? Would you not expect and appreciate it? What kind of a person are you, hating someone even following an unreserved, complete apology for being a stupid asshat a long time ago, but not anymore? Why not give him the benefit of the doubt, accept his apology and forgive? Prove yourself the bigger man; take the moral high road... or prove yourself the opposite, and worse. Your choice. And don't go around saying things about the Prime Minister like that; it makes you look like a partisan demagogue rather than a lucid-thinking Parliamentarian and servant of all Canadians, not just "gay" ones, and not just yourself.

OTTAWA -- Embarrassed federal Liberals called off frantic court efforts yesterday to stop a newspaper from publishing a list of Quebec election candidates after learning that the paper did not possess the potentially revealing document in the first place.

Boy, talk about nervous nellies. Any guesses as to why they're nervous?

The party faced internal ridicule for wasting money and accusations of attempting to suppress press freedom before it dropped the matter on seeing the list that the paper had obtained. Critics also said the incident is an example of disarray within Liberal ranks in Quebec.

"It is a colossal waste of money for a party that is cash strapped. It looks secretive," an Ontario Liberal MP told The Globe and Mail yesterday. "It is most bizarre."

But all that means is Warman filled out the paperwork to start the complaint – and he gets to cash the cheque from Marc Lemire when Lemire is convicted of thought crimes, as 100% of section 13 respondents have been before him.

Warman hadn’t shown up at his own hearing for months. But he had no reason to show up – the taxpayers of Canada were doing his work for him, in the form of Canadian Human Rights Commission lawyers and staff who were prosecuting the case. In fact, Warman had a positive reason not to attend – pesky reporters were in attendance, chock full of questions about his serial complaints, his collusion and interference with CHRC staff, and his personal philosophy of “maximum disruption”.

Warman wasn’t far away, though – his office is literally one block west of the Tribunal, actually. Warman works as a lawyer for the Department of National Defence. But what does he do there?

Warman is no soldier – unless you count the time he bravely commanded a squad of street urchins in their surprise pie attack on Warman’s enemy, David Icke. So what does Warman do to help keep our country safe, and liberate Afghanistan?

Poll: Conservatives leading by 10 points;

Liberal leader Stephane Dion's popularity with Canadians drops to mere 11%... yes, eleven percent. Majority of respondents disapprove of his performance.

Poor Stephane... at least he can find solace in the reality that he's going to be mentioned in the history books after all:

Reid said voter dissatisfaction with Dion appears to be reaching levels rarely seen in Canada.

"I can't recall a time when an opposition leader had a disapproval rating as high and an approval rating as low," he said.

While the pollster does caution that Prime Minister Harper's numbers aren't exactly something that'll make him jump up and down ecstatically and demand someone fetch him his laurels, the reality is that the Conservative PM is doing all right, doing his job pretty much as well as possible, given all difficulties and realities and has weathered very well quite a few recent nasty rough stretches without ending up any worse for wear, and the same goes for his Conservative Party. Good, solid, responsible, steady... the Harper Conservatives are the only party worthy of Canadians' support.

So, when Mr. Dion says that he'll choose when an election will be, he really means never, until the statutory date in the fall of 2009, of course. Like Hull he'll make himself go through the humiliation of having his arse being used to mop up the electoral landscape, turning it more blue and less red.

So in the near future, we can expect one of two things to happen with the Liberals: Dion is replaced... or Dion isn't replaced and continues to order his Members to sit on their hands in abstention or scram from Parliament altogether, unwilling to do their job of either supporting or opposing the government, regardless of whatever positions they declare, whatever lines they draw in the sand, etc.

Maybe Mr. Dion should get together with soon-to-be-replaced US President George Bush and start a support group for wildly unpopular leaders of all partisan and ideological stripes... I'm sure the ever-cheerful Dubya can teach Dion to quit being such a sad sack about it.

Someone ought to just pull the plug on both the Liberal leader and the Liberal Party. Let the remnants form something new from the grassroots up and actually offer an institution with a constitution, principles, values and policies that will resonate with Canadians.
