Post Number 2,500; Dion Demonstrates His Idiocy, Desperation
Who does this arrogant whiner think he is, telling the Governor General what to do?I notice that this is my 2,500th post on this blog, incidentally. Thought I'd mention it just FYI.
As for Stephane Dion, the whiny little dweeb of a Liberal "leader" in the picture above, I just learned that he demanded the Governor General deny the Prime Minister's request to prorogue (suspend) Parliament early.
Proroguing is preferable to having the government needlessly overthrown by hard-left-wingers and separatists who seek to impose the most radically left-wing agenda ever onto Canadians without their democratic consent.
As for Stephane Dion, the whiny little dweeb of a Liberal "leader" in the picture above, I just learned that he demanded the Governor General deny the Prime Minister's request to prorogue (suspend) Parliament early.

Now, let's look at something Dion said about a simple proroguing of Parliament a few days early for the Christmas break:
"an abuse of power on the part of the executive branch that would be unprecedented in the history of Parliament."
Dude, like, look who's talking about abuse. Can't you see that what you are doing is abusive?
Obviously, Dion is desperate. Never has Canada witnessed such sad, pitiful desperation on the part of a political leader.
Dion makes some false assertions:
"You cannot accept this violation of our constitution and this affront to our parliamentary democracy."
Violation of the constitution? Oh? So the Prime Minister may do something that the constitution actually allows, and you call it a "violation of our constitution"? What are you, daft? Or insane? Both, perhaps?
If proroguing Parliament can be, in the delusional mind of Stephane Dion, a violation of the constitution, then it would be perfectly fair to describe his coup d'etat conspiracy with the communists/separatists to overthrow the duly elected government on the grounds of wholly false reasons... a violation of the constitution, too, even though, as written, the constitution does technically permit a "coalition" to possibly "form a government" if the elected one is defeated in a Parliamentary confidence vote... if necessary. Of course, there is no necessity for what the Leftist Opposition is conspiring to do!
Affront to our parliamentary democracy? Again, look who's talking. You, M. Dion, want to overthrow the duly elected government just because you Left-wing extremists want to do so, and without the democratic consent of the Canadian People, with whom you refuse to consult... don't you think that's an affront to democracy? Oh, I see... you said, specifically, "parliamentary democracy". Ah. So... what you want to do is hide behind "parliamentary democracy" to ignore the recent democratic decision of the Canadian People and to refuse to consult with them to request their democratic approval of your so-called "coalition" as their government. I see. This is your agenda, M. Dion. Don't seek democratic consent from the Canadian People. Just hide behind the votes of your "coalition" in Parliament, and that's good enough for you to usurp the legitimately-elected government for the purpose of replacing it and its agenda with your "coalition" and its agenda, which could actually be anything, without limits.
And this is frightening. And it makes the Canadian People angry with you; angrier than they've ever been before at a political leader/party. You should be concerned about this. But I guess you aren't. Of course, such is the nature of a Leftist. In denial, delusional, etc; that which is inconvenient to you, you ignore...
That said, you just may have started a civil war of some kind in Canada, Monsieur Stephane Dion of France. Exaggerate, do I? Again, look who's talking...
The Opposition's Conspiracy: Is It Treason?

It could certainly be interpreted as Antenor describes. Why not? The Left believes in interpreting the BNA Act/Constitution Act and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to suit its agenda, often via Leftist-radical "judges" whose agenda isn't the law, nor justice, nor the Constitution, nor the Charter, but rather to advance the Left's agenda... illegally and unconstitutionally.
I'm not sure, however, if what we have here is a constitutional monarchy, but the tradition does continue- after all, still having a Governor General to represent the Queen does amount to monarchy, if only symbolically. But even symbolically, if the Opposition is commiting treason, this is still a bad thing and cannot be ignored. For to have treasonous individuals ruling over us as a government is wholly unacceptable to real Canadians, as opposed to agenda-and-revolution-obsessed Leftists who could care less about their country and about other Canadians.
Of course, one has to look at the British constitutional monarchy law specifically.
That said, what the Leftist/Separatist Opposition has been doing and is plotting does feel rather treasonous, and most Canadians, I believe, would agree with that sentiment, notwithstanding what the Constitution may say about it being allowable for a "coalition" to form a govenment in the even that a legitimate, duly-elected governing party is "defeated" in a "non-confidence vote", something that would be phony, actually, as the Opposition has already voted in support of the Throne Speech, which didn't propose any multibilliondollar bailouts/stimulus package.
Indeed, one day voting in favor of the Throne Speech, which contained no bailout/stimulus package promises as demanded by the Leftists, and then shortly thereafter claiming that they don't have confidence in the government after all, having quickly changed their minds for some bizarre reason, flipflopped... is so phony, so dishonest... and so transparently Machiavellian.
It's clear to me that the Leftist Opposition could care less about the economy, a monstrous Keynesian stimulus package, even about the proposed termination of tax subsidies to political parties. What they really want, what their agenda truly is... is to steal power on false pretenses, based on lies, so as to impose the most Hard-Left-Wing agenda upon Canada without democratic consent, without a mandate to do so. This is cheating, plain and simple. This is why it feels treasonous.
They should demand an election as one united party and proceed to detail their proposed agenda to the Canadian People for their acceptance or rejection.
But they won't. Because they know they'd be rejected... big time, and that the Conservatives would end up with a strong majority government once the ballots are counted.
I've been asking on a few sites about the legality of conspiring to form a government without the GG approval as is happening at the moment. It was mentioned on CBC last night that the GG had to call the opposition and inquire as to their ability to form a government, this report sited two previous examples. It is my understanding within a Constitutional Monarchy that to conspire without the consent of the Monarch to overthrow Her duly elected and appointed government is an act against the Crown and could constitute treason. Can you or your readers find an answer to this?

Leftist Putsch Beginning To Falter?

Well, in my opinion, it's too late. The damage is done. To a Liberal party that was already badly damaged for a long time to come.
But the Liberals can prevent the damage from becoming fatal to them as a party if they slap each others' faces, kick Dion's ass out, and pull out of the Leftist Menage immediately.
It's up to them whether they'll commit potentially-permanent political suicide or step back from the edge of the precipice.

Finally, a sign of sanity. Better late than never. A first serious sign of leadership from the presumptive leader-in-waiting. Senior Ignatieff insiders are tantalizingly whispering to Bourque that the Toronto MP is having grave doubts about supporting the shocking Dion coalition bid, now labelled by many as the "Separatist Coalition", given the defining support it has from both the BQ's Gilles Duceppe and former PQ Premier Jacques Parizeau. One longtime senior Ignatieff backer, under condition of anonymity, confided that "Michael is in a tenuous situation and he is feeling a lot of heat from caucus colleagues and constituents alike. Frankly, we think we got snookered by Bob Rae on this one". It nets out to this, according to this longtime Liberal and echoed by many other key backroom players: ordinary Liberals across the country, the card-carrying bbq-ing door-knocking envelope-stuffing phone-banking kind who make up the backbone of the party and who would need to be counted on to support his leadership aspirations, are vehemently rejecting the Dion argument that a deal with the separatist Bloc Quebecois is in the best interests of Canada. "Bullshit", said one Liberal power-broker, who was quick to point out Dion is tilting at Liberal history for the sake of a short stint at 24 Sussex. "Dion is nuts", he told Bourque, "I am ashamed he is leading the party of Laurier, Pearson, Trudeau, and Chretien - my God, Chretien, the guy who poured out his federalist heart against Rene Levesque's country-killing forces so long ago - I am ashamed Dion is selling us out." He and the others are right, of course. Add to that a comment from one of Canada's leading media personalities, who told Bourque this evening that "the Liberals can never again say that they are the guardians of National Unity". He has a sobering point, unfortunately. Ignatieff, in turn, would be right to heed the growing chorus of advice from his own braintrust and to distance himself from this embarrassing marriage of expedience fueled by nothing more than the personal egos and ambitions of a relatively few desperate 'inside-the-beltway' political personalities, both elected and otherwise, the 'chip-on-their-shoulders' type who can't see beyond their disdain for Harper. In short, no act of clarity whatsoever. Meanwhile, former Lib MP & Deputy PM John Manley is also now distancing himself from Dion's unholy alliance, telling a G&M confcall that his inclusion in Dion's wise men sounding board is news to him. Doll Shocks Kids With Unexpected Pro-Islam Message
The doll says, "Islam is the light".
No indication as to anything Islam-related on the package.

In fact, we found one store in Virginia where the dolls had the audio disabled AND the front packaging panel (where the name is displayed) ripped off, which made it harder for parents to know that this was the controversial doll. A few newer dolls are being distributed without the sound file, but most still say "Islam is the light."
Bottom line - parents are still buying the doll RIGHT NOW, taking it home, and may not realize what the doll says until Christmas morning when their child unwraps the package and the doll tells her that "Islam is the light."
MATTEL DENIES EVERYTHING
You'd think Mattel would have recalled the doll after parents complained, after some retailers pulled it in response to parent complaints, and after about twenty Youtube videos went up spontaneously from parents and local TV news stations showing that the doll was really saying "Islam is the light." But no. Mattel denies everything.
Mattel has flatly denied that the doll audio files say "Islam is the light," and has stated that parents are hearing the phrase "Islam is the light" because of "power of suggestion." Mattel even put up their "version" of the doll's audio file on their investors and media webpage, although an actual recording of the doll's audio appears to be VERY different (see the "audio research" link at www.labelthatdoll.com ).

Soviet History Repeats- In Canada
The Hardline Left-wing Socialists behind the imminent Putsch to overthrow the just-weeks-ago-duly-elected Canadian Conservative government, with phony claims of a non-apparent state of emergency/crisis/catastrophe as a justification for their draconian move: L to R: Jack Layton, NDP; Stephane Dion, Liberal; Gilles Duceppe, Bloc Quebecois
Look who's going to be deciding Canada's economic future... none of these men were elected to have any say. Frank McKenna, the NB Premier who banned radar detectors and then was pulled over for operating one himself; Paul Martin- need I say more- Canadians rejected him as PM; John Manley, a Librano himself; Roy Romanow, former socialist/NDP Premier of Saskatchewan. Canadians did NOT ask for these guys, nor were they asked. We aren't being asked by these subversives if we want their help, but they don't care what we want, and they're going right ahead to impose their illegitimate will upon us without our consent. And they won't be accountable, as they don't have to worry about losing Commons seats they don't have anyway.
So we have the Hard-Left Socialists (Liberals and NDP) hastily gluing together a coalition of sorts, with the conditional (and volatile) support of the Quebec separatist Bloc. They appear set to overthrow the duly elected (just a few short weeks ago) Conservative government, claiming a state of emergency, a crisis, an economic catastrophe calling for draconian, extreme measures.
Well, this reminds me of the 1991 Soviet Putsch that lasted three days and ended with the total collapse of the Soviet Union.
The Canadian Socialists' predecessors, hardline Soviet Communists Boris Pugo, Gennady Yanayev and Oleg Baklanov. The parallels are striking, to say the least! This is not called for. There is no state of emergency.
They've been plotting this coup d'etat since before they even knew anything about what was going to be in the economic update; it's proven, via Jack Layton's own spoken words, caught on tape by a Conservative who was invited, by error, apparently, but regardless still invited, to participate in a teleconference call with them. If it hadn't been for the natural stupidity of hardcore Leftists such as led by Jack Layton, this wouldn't have happened, and they have only themselves to blame for their culture of stupidity which infects all involved. They're mad at being caught with their pants down (figuratively this time) and are trying to claim that the taping was illegal even though the participant was invited and apparently wasn't told it wasn't to be recorded. Typical Leftists- blaming others for their own stupidity. So it's NOT about the economy, and Stephane Dion, the French Citizen who will be Prime Minister of Canada following the illegitimate putsch, is LYING. Canadians already rejected him just a few short weeks ago!
There is no case made for a coup d'etat/putsch. There is no economic emergency, crisis or catastrophe. Sure, there appears to be a recession, a mild one. And there appears to be some problems with the so-called "Big Three" automakers, whose troubles are both of their own executives' and the unions' making, and who want the taxpayers to hand over billions of dollars just to tide them over for awhile (merely postponing the inevitable- massive job loss no matter what, due to inevitable, unavoidable, absolutely radical, massive restructuring the likes of which we've never seen before in this industry).
The Lefitst usurpers/subversives/democracy-haters want to plunge Canada $30 billion-plus into the red, shovelling piles and piles onto the debt, throwing into the toilet all the hard taxpayer work done to pay it down over the years. All for the sake of dogmatic Keynesian extremism. You know, we've been down this socialist, big-government interventionism road before and we know where we ended up because of it. These Leftists are taking us backwards into the olden days of deep socialist redness.
If one follows the news today, one will note that the stock markets have sunk like a stone in reaction to the news of the coming putsch/coup d'etat/overthrow of the democratically elected government without a legitimate reason, without any case made for doing so. Talk about massive selloff! Talk about dumping the assets before the hardcore socialists steal the reins of power away from the democratically elected government! One would think that if the Conservatives' economic update was a crisis, emergency, catastrophe, then the stock markets would've done that then. But no... because the stock markets know that what the socialists have planned is not going to help, and they have no confidence in the economic acumen in the socialists, so they're dumping their assets fast before they lose their value under a hard-line socialist regime who's going to take power without democratic consent and with a false excuse.
Only Black Monday – the infamous 11 per cent crash of 1987 – saw the market fall more in percentage terms. Three of the market's five worst days have now come in 2008.Talk about uncertainty. The LAST thing we need now of all times! But here the socialists are, gleefully forcing it onto Canada! Isn't that wonderful!

It's not the fault of the non-Muslim community. The Muslims need to look into the mirror to see who's responsible for their faith's image problems, problems which can only be resolved by accepting the truth and acting to right the wrongs within Islam.
The truth is the truth, and nothing will change that.
No doubt... the Islamic community continues to shoot itself in the foot. And it's their own fault. They think that they have nothing to apologize for, nothing to change, that the problem is always with the "Kaffirs" (non-Muslims). They're wrong, and this is why there will continue to be a growing opposition to Islam and justifiable suspicion (can't stop suspicion, even if some liberal fascists can bully people for speaking the inconvenient truth) of Muslims by those who think for themselves and cannot be brainwashed by those in denial of reality, nor intimidated by the likes of the CAIR, which is an illegitimate, criminal, terroristic organization, an offshoot of Hamas, itself an offshoot of the supremacist, imperialist Muslim Brotherhood.Of course, there is one thing they could do about that that would actually begin to make people think better of Islam, but no one even whispers anything about doing it in this article or anywhere else. Imams could begin to saturate mosques and madrassas with the message that jihad warfare is never justified, that the imperative to subjugate unbelievers under the rule of Islamic law must be decisively rejected, and that peaceful coexistence as equals with unbelievers is to be maintained indefinitely. If Islamic clerics stopped talking about conquering Europe and America, and began to teach the opposite, things might begin to improve. If Muslim leaders worldwide energetically pronounced takfir upon -- that is, declared to be non-Muslim -- all those who maintained belief in the Qur'an's literal words of warfare, and in the traditional Islamic doctrines regarding jihad warfare (whether hot war or otherwise), and upon anyone who wished to impose Shari'a upon unbelievers by whatever means and at whatever speed, and if those leaders demonstrated their sincerity by actions instead of mere words, informed non-Muslims might begin to think better of Islam.
But these things will not happen. They're not even on the table. Instead, many of the same people quoted in this article work to brand any non-Muslim who points out the ways in which jihadists use Islamic texts and teachings to justify violence and supremacism as a "bigot" or a "racist." And that in itself, however effective a tactic it may be among the ignorant and easily intimidated, is revealing.
