WASHINGTON – The Black Congressional Caucus tomorrow night plans to honor a Muslim activist whose organization once publicly admitted it sought to impose on America an Islamic Sharia state.

Imam Mahdi Bray, the executive director of the Muslim American Society, will get his award at the caucus' "Middle East Briefing and Pre-Ramadan Brunch" at the Grand Hyatt.

The Muslim American Society was formerly known as the Muslim Brotherhood in America, a secretive organization whose goals included turning the U.S. into an Islamic state, according to an investigative report in the Chicago Tribune n 2004. Officially, today, MAS denies any desire to turn America into an Islamic state.

The newspaper report quoted from the Chicago chapter's website: "It includes reading materials that say Muslims have a duty to help form Islamic governments worldwide and should be prepared to take up arms to do so. One passage states that "until the nations of the world have functionally Islamic governments, every individual who is careless or lazy in working for Islam is sinful." Another one says that Western secularism and materialism are evil and that Muslims should "pursue this evil force to its own lands" and "invade its Western heartland."

Harper Warns Unelected Senators Against Resistance To Senate Reform

True to his roots, Prime Minister Stephen Harper is moving ahead, wide-open throttle, with senate reforms.

First up: limiting senators' term limits to about 8 years, ending the practice whereby they're currently appointed until they turn 75.

Then... a move towards electing senators.

Sounds good, doesn't it?

The PM said a refusal by the Senate to pass Bill S-4 -- which would no longer allow senators to keep their seats until they are 75 -- would send a message to Canadians.

"It would indicate the Senate could not participate in this reform and there would be political repercussions," he said.

Liberal Sen. Jim Munson quickly took issue with the remark.

There are critics that believe you would like nothing better than to fight an election on the backs of the Senate," he said.

"Don't give me the opportunity," Harper responded.

You tell 'em, Stephen!

If the senators actually believe that fighting an election on the issue of electing the Senate and limiting their terms wouldn't be a winning issue for the Conservatives, the unelected, unaccountable, overpaid, barely-doing-anything trough-feeders are either delusional or possess astonishing chutzpah.

Besides, these are the guys who, as far as I can recall, automatically rubber-stamped all Liberal legislation for thirteen long, frustrating years... and are now promising to stall -and might end up somehow blocking- the Federal Accountability Act even if it passes through Parliament, the democratically-elected legislative Lower Chamber.

Is it any surprise that the Liberal-dominated Senate is going to suddenly, after all these years of brainless rubber-stamping, throw up a barrier to the passage into law of, critically important, desperately-desired-by-Canadians, Conservative legislation to bring high ethical standards and accountability to government which we've never had before? Are the Liberal loyalists in the Senate attempting to kill the legislation to protect their Liberal cronies from being further investigated... and potentially charged... and sentenced with... some kinds of criminal offences... for actions taken while in power? This is the question to keep in mind when the Liberal senators try to block this legislation, which was a key component of the Conservatives' winning election platform.


Eventually, hopefully, we'll have a triple-E Senate... Equal, Elected and Effective. It's better than a bunch of overpaid hacks and cronies just sitting around doing little, if anything, of use to Canadians and occassionally causing problems like blocking the Federal Accountability Act.

Layton revved up his anti-war rhetoric last week when, in addition to his regular claptrap about Canada being peacekeepers and not warriors, he suggested that the only way that peace can be achieved and war ended is to sit down and talk to the Taliban. According to Layton peace can never be achieved unless the parties sit down and negotiate. It sounds all warm and fuzzy to sit down and talk to those who seek to destroy us but history doesn't bear out Father Layton's theory on war and peace. The allies didn't sit down and talk to Japan and Germany during World War II -- they simply bombed the hell out of both those countries. Let's look at Japan. Sure, Japan has had minor disputes with other countries such as Russia and China, but since atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, have they ever really bothered anybody lately? Ditto for Germany.

Like Cindy Sheehan, Jack Layton is simply self absorbed and mean. He kept up his "we have to pull out" speeches in the wake of four Canadian soldiers sacrificing their lives on the same day in Afghanistan. Layton didn't care. He showed no respect for the military and more importantly, for the families whose loved ones had just been killed. While Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Opposition leader Bill Graham were expressing their condolences to the families, Layton was continuing his anti-war screed. It was a disgusting exhibition of self-aggrandizement.

MI6 – supported by U.S. satellite surveillance and undercover agents in Iran from Israel's vaunted spy agency, Mossad – have tracked Irish bomb makers to three factories in the Lavizan surburb in northern Tehran.

Earlier this year, the six-man Continuity-IRA team traveled from Dublin to Frankfurt and onward to Damascus. From there they were brought in an Iranian military aircraft to Tehran, G2 Bulletin reports.

"Their arrival marked an axis of evil we most feared," said a senior MI6 officer. "This brings global terrorism to a new level."

In Washington, Alireza Jafarzadah, a former member of the Washington-based Iran Policy Committee, said the Tehran workshops where the six Irish bombers are working are "highly sophisticated." The Irish are primarily providing their expertise in how to make and disguise infrared triggering devices.

Liebrano Leadership Hopeful Dryden Spews Meaningless Hot Air

Liberal leadership candidate, Ken Dryden, left, in his usual outfit, and right, in his true form, as a scary little moonbat, has spewed some meaningless hot air in a futile attempt to one-up his equally pathetic moonbat brethren, also hoping to lead the Liberal Titanic to the bottom of the Atlantic, and in an equally futile attempt to put a dent in the governing Conservatives' sheetmetal.

He called the Conservatives' view of Canada "divisive and narrow", but the article at the link doesn't mention if he even bothered to explain. I doubt he did. Well, I think that a charge of "divisive" is incredibly rich coming from a member of a party that divides the country into West and East, Quebec and the Rest of Canada, English and French, attacks the United States and Israel, attacks Christians as if Christians weren't people with equal rights, etc., etc...

Bear in mind that the Conservatives are uniting the Federation as the Liberals couldn't... we now have a significant number of seats in each and every region. Quebec listens to us now and not to the crooked, lying Liebrano$$.

He babbles about the communist daycare program and the Kelowna accord, both of which were never clearly planned out and which no one understood, yet which promised to take a combined ten billion dollars or more out of Canadians' pockets (no guarantee that Kelowna would help regular Aboriginal people rather than just Aboriginal politicians). More meaningless big-spending/money-wasting-ideas hot air. These guys haven't learned their lessons.

Oh, and he's favorable to a carbon tax, whatever that is... doesn't sound good at all. Sounds economically frightening!


And don't forget about other candidate Stephane Dion's plagiarizing a David Suzuki plan, presenting it as his own. More of the Liebrano crookedness and cavalier culture of entitlement.

Meaning... the left didn't really have a problem with Nazism per se... as today it doesn't have a problem with Islam per se.

Perhaps President Bush has finally decided to link fundamentalist Islam to Nazism. This helps regular folks to better understand the nature of the enemy they're facing.

The first excerpt above echoes what I've been saying for months right here on TCS. I applaud Bush for his renewed courage to call it more like it is and quit worrying about appeasing the Muslims too much by being as politically correct as possible. For to be too politically correct is to let the terrorists win. Anyone disagree? Keep in mind that the terrorists use our political correctness, liberal immigration, liberal legal system, liberal MSM and multiculturalist policies to their advantage. Why should we shoot ourselves in the feet just to placate the ultra-extreme left and the Islamic community? Security cannot take a backseat to political correctness dogmatism!

Canadian Jihadists Linked to Jamaat ud Dawa Islamic Jihad Organization

Remember a little while ago I did this post on the Jihadist organization Jamaat ud Dawa?

Well, it seems there's a connection between this Jihadist organization, which operates in Pakistan despite having been banned following 9/11, and the recent arrest of 18 people in Toronto on evidence of a plot to commit a Jihad act or acts in Canada's largest city.

Three months after the RCMP began arresting 18 suspects accused of plotting terror attacks in Canada, an investigation by the National Post has uncovered a web of links to Pakistan. Today, in the first of four parts, the role of a Pakistani training camp is revealed.

It's worth a read. In fact, it's the first in a series of articles from the National Post on this matter.

Now, I had done that earlier post on Jamaat ud Dawa as I saw a similarity between it and another Jihad organization upon which I've posted in the past, Jamaat ul Fuqra, which operates not only in Pakistan but in the US and Canada as well.

Turns out my gut feelings about JuD's likely international Jihadist aims may have been spot-on after all. They may have exported their evil ideology and trained Jihadists to return to Canada. They may have indeed almost succeeded in causing Jihadist acts which would have likely taken many innocent lives... right here in Canada.

If the authorities hadn't been keeping an eye on those folks they suspected of being Jihadists, there may have ended up being what would be seen as Canada's 9/11.

I fear we've not heard the last about Jamaat ud Dawa. Indeed, I hadn't even heard of Al Qaeda until President Bush identified them in a speech following 9/11.

Food for serious thought.

The danger is here... and it will not subside. We must stand ready for anything.

And, as always, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! If disaster can be prevented, then it must be. Period.

I'd also assert that being politically incorrect and angering the left and the Islamists is way better than letting the Jihadists just go about their "business" as they please, killing any number of innocents... in the name of that imaginary "Allah".
