Food Poisoning Jihad Plot: Ft Jackson Arrests Only Tip Of Iceberg?

Story here.

The Big Old Media is saying pretty much the usual "nothing to see here... move along".
According to a military source at the installation speaking to this investigator on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive and ongoing nature of this investigation, however, paints a somewhat different picture. According to this source, “hints of an alleged plot to poison the food supply at  the military installation was uncovered during the course of another, unrelated investigation into the disappearance of five Washington, DC area Muslims who went missing in late November, and who are believed to have traveled abroad for Islamic jihad training.”

Initially, one of the Arabic translators at Fort Jackson was believed to have been in contact with at least one of the five missing Muslim students. The investigation developed from there, and ‘some level of communication’ was discovered to suggest a plan to poison the food supply at the base. Although never put into action, the investigation widened as it appeared to involve at last three to four additional Arabic translators, all Muslims specifically recruited for the army’s translation program,” stated this source.

This source added that while the plan “was discovered in its most early stages, it is still a matter of grave concern.”

Food poisoning would, if widespread, certainly amount to some pretty serious terrorism.  Been through that myself, so I speak from experience (one long weekend of hell).  It can be excruciatingly painful, with some quite scary symptoms, and may involve being denied any food and even drinking water as part of the medical treatment.  And you may be unlucky enough to find that the painkillers only last two hours, whereas they'll only let you have them every four.

What "arrests" were those, Scenty?

Your link says that five people were detained and questioned. There is no report of arrests, and the investigating officer reports that "there is no credible information to support the allegations.”

What "arrests" are you talking about?

Canadian Sentinel said...

"Arrest".

"Detained for questioning".

Funny how the latter can be used to minimize, for public "news" consumption, the impact of the "arrest", isn't it?

Ah... euphemizing semantics, eh! Clever, clever "journalists"!

So they were arrested.

Detained and questioned.

"No reports of any arrests"?

Really?

Oh, here comes Balbulican's spin...

Cue the violins.

...and Blabulican's baaaack!

Finally cooled off from the time I made it impossible for him to use his personal connections to some "First Nations" folks to intimidate me into believing that he knows what he's talking about whereas I don't, notwithstanding the facts of the matter we were discussing at that time, when he stormed away, smearing me as a "prick".

They always come back. Michelle Malkin discussed that on Hannity recently, talking about the same moonbats, ie. Rosie O'Donnel, Janeane Garofalo and Bill Maher, whom she exposed in a book five years ago and who are also baaaaack again...

Hmm... Perhaps Stephen King should do a sequel to "Sometimes They Come Back", calling it "They Always Come Back". And Blahbulican can be the star! :b

Oh, and, look!

At the Google link I provided, scroll down to the bottom and see...

Under "Blog posts about fort jackson five arrested", guess who's at the very top of the list?

Burn! Poor Blahbulican...

Wouldn't that be "tip of the iceberg lettuce?"

Sorry, sentinel, the first link was to a right wing blog. Don't waste my time, please: can you provide a link to an actual news source that confirms five people were ARRESTED, as you claim? Not "detained", not "questioned", but ARRESTED? I mean a real news source, not an ill-informed quoter of propaganda?

Thanks.

'Finally cooled off from the time I made it impossible for him to use his personal connections to some "First Nations" folks to intimidate me into believing that he knows what he's talking about whereas I don't, notwithstanding the facts of the matter we were discussing at that time, when he stormed away, smearing me as a "prick"."

Well, son, you didn't know what you were talking about. As far as first nations issues go, you still don't. And you WERE being a prick, and a rude one, too.

But that's okay. You really do a need folks to correct those little errors and fibs that keep popping up, and that's why I'm here to help. Don't thank me...all part of the service.

Trolling again, I see.

That reminds me... I think there's a fishing show on...

Balbulican said...

Naw. Trolling is hanging out on a site to disrupt discussion. I'm pointing out either a little fib or an error in your post.

So...you actually CAN'T find a credible report of the "ARRESTS" you claimed happened?

Canadian Sentinel said...

Sorry, but I'm afraid you don't get to decide whether you're trolling or not.

It's for the blog host to decide, whether you agree or not.

It's one of the unwritten principles of blogging and commenting. The Host gets to decide.

Kind of like a judge. You know those Prog judges... they pretend they know stuff we mere mortals cannot even begin to fathom, right?

And... follow the links of reports of "arrests".

I could care less if you conveniently dismiss them as "non-credible". Go ahead and pretend you're Obama, like when he dismisses FOX News, Limbaugh, Beck, etc., etc... as "liars", just 'cause they tell it like it is...

I say they were arrested. They were apprehended, right? Or do you have evidence that they were offered the chance to refuse detention? Well, if they were arrested without any right of refusal of detention, then that's an arrest. You can euphemize it howsoever you see fit, though. I could care less.

Balbulican said...

"I could care less."

Of course, Scenty. We all know that. You have your own very special definitions for lots of words that no-one else shares - "trolling", "arrest", "leftist" - and you're perfectly entitled to that. However, it does lead to the regrettable conclusion that your posts are inaccurate. And that's okay too, because, as we both know, you don't really care about accuracy, and have frequently expressed your contempt for "facts" that get in the way of your beliefs.

However, I'm just here to help ensure that you don't give readers incorrect impressions.

Balbulican said...

"as "liars", just 'cause they tell it like it is..."

Naw, I don't dismiss anyone as a liar for "telling it like it is".

I dismiss them as liars when they edit posts and claim they didn't, or publish lies and refuse to retract them when the truth is told.

Those are "liars", Scenty.

Know anybody like that?

Now, now, Brown Blahbulican Cow...

You know from experience what happens when you troll in and troll around like crazy...

You're a tad grumpy, too...

Not a good quality.

I think your time is better spent playing hide the marshmallow with Mrs. Blahbulican...

Hint, hint... getcherself in the mood... so you won't feel like trollin' around any longer...

BTW, as you're well aware, I'm sure...

My "rudeness" is usually part of "The Act".

Such "Act" being, of course, necessary.

Nothing personal, B. You know that, of course.

But do realize that not all of it is an "act". There's often some grave seriousness going on, too.

If one is nothing but serious or Prog-asskissy all the time, then who'd want to read the blog, then? So that's why I treat trolls as I do, and, besides, they ask for it by being trolly...

Besides, as a wise man once said, and as it applies to yourself, "Let him without sin cast the first stone"...

Oh, and, why not also mention that one about folks living in grass houses... or was it glass houses? Fuhggedwhich.
